I like my cvt, the car just doesn't have enough torque to make it run smooth so you got to keep that gas pedal down when you need it to respond. But I prefer it over a regular gm automatic any day. It works how its supposed to kicks down when I want it. Gm just doesn't know how to tune tcms to run their automatics. gm transmissions just feel lazy and clunky on the stock tune.

Unlocking My Link radio to work in Spark LS
Mr.tozzi replied to cjlee67's topic in Audio, Navigation, MyLink and Navigations
Why not just buy a dash kit and add a real head unit to it?!, I got the mylink and it's very far from a good head unit. If it stopped working tomorrow I wouldn't even bother to get a new one under warranty. -
Sounds like they let the new guy do the oil change and he drained your trans.

Need help picking sub
Mr.tozzi replied to Mike Grunewald's topic in Audio, Navigation, MyLink and Navigations
10" Infinity basslink . I have one, it works great and fits in the spare tire well if you want to keep the trunk space. Easy to wire, it has speaker level inputs and doesn't need a trigger to turn on if wired to the speaker level inputs. -
Replacing Front Speakers on a Spark
Mr.tozzi replied to Cole's topic in Audio, Navigation, MyLink and Navigations
What year is your spark? -
If the dealership didn't replace your windows then it is not their responsibility to fix anything related to the doors, as you need to take some of it apart to put in new glass. And in that case you need to take it back to whoever replaced the glass. If the dealer replaced your windows, and everything worked before they touched it then it is their responsibility to repair it.

Anything can be done with enough zip ties. I'm not sure if it will work the sparks on this side of the pond don't come with steel wheels.

2013 chevy spark installing subwoofer
Mr.tozzi replied to Whooran's topic in Audio, Navigation, MyLink and Navigations
And you don't need all that for the spark unless you want the world to hear you. Ithe is a small car and being a hatch the soubd carries easy to the cab. I got a 10" infinity bass link and it's plenty.- 2 replies

2013 Spark LS - 50k
Mr.tozzi replied to aremyers's topic in Buying, Leasing, Ordering & Owner Reviews
I can't talk about longevity as mine only has 17k, but so far it has been a good car. drive it, make sure it sounds right, and definitely try to get service records and get the carfax and look trough it. Before going to try the one you are looking at, try to find one or two with less miles just to test drive it so you have something to compare it to.- 9 replies

I got my spare out of a chevy aveo $100bucks shipped for the whole kit. fits like a glove on the front and back of the car, and surprisingly the lug wrench fit too. i just had to cut a few corners of the foam insert that goes over the inflator kit that came with the car.

For every new component put in you need to adjust the tune to be able to take advantage of it. The computer was programmed to make the car run at a certain ammount of hp/torque and it will always try to do exactly that. You don't necessarily need to buy a car with more power, but sure need to know if there's any support to tune the car.

If gm builds a 1.4t spark it would be a fun little car. But the city fuel eficciency would get decimated, and the price point would go up, touching mid range sonics and base cruzes. It simply wouldn't sell, as most people would prefer the bigger more practical car.

Can I disable the loud locking sound?
Mr.tozzi replied to Sage Joy's topic in Chevy Spark 2016+ (Gen IV)
Disable on the radio, or hit the lock button only once. -
Oil Change Interval...
Mr.tozzi replied to Retired old Gearhead's topic in Lounge: Chevy Spark Discussion
The owner's manual says to check the oil every 7500 miles, and change if necessary. -
Reseting the Radio/Locking the Windows
Mr.tozzi replied to TheImpalaMan's topic in Chevy Spark 2007-2015 (Gen III)
The window lock is for the rear only, so the kids dont play with it or the dog doesnt let himself out of the car while driving. Never seen a car that locks the front windows. -
chirping belt and loss of power?
Mr.tozzi replied to Tanya Shelnutt's topic in Chevy Spark 2007-2015 (Gen III)
I never had that issue with the spark, I had something similar in a previous vehicle where the ac was overcharged and the compressor locked up. Squeak was from the serpentine belt, loss of power was from the engine trying to turn the locked compressor. -
Dexcool and water nothing else. If it overheats with the factory recommended stuff, there's something wrong with it.

pep boys will use the filter and oil you ask for and charge you accordingly, dealer will use an oem filter and whatever oil is recommended for the car. The techs on either side probably won't know your car takes about 4qts to fill. If you can just buy an oil drain pan and do it youself, takes 15 minutes.

different transmission on 14 and up automatics, on manual transmission should be exactly the same car.

there's something wrong with your system, the compressor kicks in to dry the air, but if you have the button set to hot then it should blow hot.

2014 Chevy Spark Keys
Mr.tozzi replied to ad04150's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
If you have the key that is programmed to the car the alarm shouldnt go off, unless you have an aftermarket alarm.
