  1. Guys, I want to install DRL on my 2010 LS (M300 similar to US 2013). I want the function as follows: 1. When ignition is turned ON, then only DRL have to come up, so no load on battery. 2. When parking or headlight turned ON, DRL must be off. I worked with relays and partly got it theoretically. By tapping ignition line from key switch can latch relay for DRL and a tap from illumination line will cut off supply to DRL relay when parking/headlight is turned ON. Now, issue point is when DRL are ON and parking light are turned ON, it turn off DRL as expected but if parking light are turned OFF after that (assume someone turn them by mistake while engine still running), DRL doesn't come ON again. So, is there any direct point available which can give engine running feedback, as I don't prefer too much tapping OEM lines?
  2. Hey all! I picked up a 2017 Spark LS with the Automatic transmission this month. It was a leftover at the dealer. I drove off the lot with 20 miles on the vehicle. This is my first new car and I am really enjoying it so far. I’m looking forward to learning more about the car and taking it on road trips.
  3. Looking to maybe install rear speakers on the base model. Does anybody have any experience with this? Does the radio need an amp added to it? Thanks!
  4. 2015 ls

Hey there fellow spark owners, I just got my first 2015 Chevy Spark LS which is also my first car, it's a certified pre-owned with 27k miles on it. So far it's been a blast driving and learning in! Looking forward to sharing and learning with everyone here!
  5. I'm looking seriously at purchasing a used Spark. Budget is an issue, and with my student loan payments, I'd like to buy outright instead of getting saddled with a monthly payment. I'm going to look at a 2013 LS with 50,000 tomorrow, and I've been doing a lot of research but coming up short on the longevity question. Does anyone here with a higher mileage 2013-14 Spark have any thoughts? Will I just be spending the money I save on a monthly payment on endless repairs? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
  6. Hi all, New Spark owner here in the northeast, looking to get some winter tires on this car asap. I found a set on Craigslist, nice snow tires mounted on 14" steelies that came off a 2012-2015 spark. My question is does anyone know if a 14" rim will fit and clear everything on the new 2016,2017 sparks that come stock with a 15" wheel now.
  7. I'm thinking about buying a spark. I had a 02 focus zx5 and the transmission is shot. I was expecting to hate driving it and be uncomfortable but the test drive was great. More pep then I expected and I found it to be roomier then the 13 fiesta and '14 focus i test drove right before it. Im a little worried about a few things maybe this community can help with. cargo space I don't need much but I frenqunetly have a guitar with me maybe a small amp( forgot the size 12 inch speaker in the cabinet though skinny profile should fit. I also kayak I found yamika(no idea if I'm even close on spelling) has a rack setup for it around $400. My kayak is 12ft 50lb. Should be save to haul i would think right? Might look silly but it look silly on my focus and was fine on nothing but foam blocks and straps. Paddles might be difficult to store even split into 2. What are people's storage experiences with it? Any kayakers here? we get some rough snow storms here sometimes how is it in the snow? If I can make the 1lt model work for me financially definitely worth it over the base model? I feel like I'm just being cheap looking at the ls. How many people regret not getting the ls? ive seen really bad reviews of the older years. Seems a lot was sorted out but any problems I should watch out for that are common? thanks folks
  8. I drive a 2013 Spark and I wanted to make my wheels a bit more customized. I ended up deciding to add vinyl instead of changing the rims out. I will try to keep this post updated as I continue this project. I don't mean to be a tease, but I will not be posting the final design until I am finished and satisfied. So far, I'm close to finishing the first Vinyl Prototype. Here has been my progress so far: Step 1, I took some paper, put it against my wheel and tried carving the paper to get a basic idea of what the design will look like with very general sizes and very general shapes. I edited some images on Adobe Photoshop to what I had believed the project would look like when I had finished. Step 2, this step was mostly just on Adobe Illustrator, trying to get a finer shape and size down. It was summed up into Design, Print, Cut, Spray Glue, Edit, Repeat. I now had a new idea on the final project. It consisted of 5-6 pieces (this part is still to be determined.) Step 3, with my currently finalized prototype, I printed it out on cardstock and started drafting on actual vinyl pieces. I'm in the process of cutting them out to see how they fit before I make final vinyl cuts. More updates to come. (Side note, if anyone can tell me how to scale these image sizes down a bit for better reading, that'd be nice.) Edit: February 17th, 2016: I've applied the test vinyls. One wheel is the control, I did nothing to it. Wheel 2 is Spray glued-over. Wheel 3 saw 5 minutes of a hair dryer. Wheel 4 got spray glued, then 5 minutes of a hair dryer. I'll keep it on for a week and see which one stands up the best. I will not be going through with my original idea of putting vinyl on my car. I have been suggested to use Plasti-Dip. I guess this information can be for whomever really wants to use vinyl on their wheels or someone who needs to put vinyl on steel. Either way, the test will proceed and I will post results.
  9. I have a 2013 Chevy Spark LS and the average miles per gallon numbers on the digital screen are not changing. Does anyone have ay suggestions to fix this?
