Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Spark.023 in Has anyone installed rear speakers on the 2017 LS?
I would not add any speakers to the mylink unit without an amp.
If I were the one adding rear speakers, I would actually just buy front and rears, and a compact 4 ch amp like this one https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500KTP445U/Alpine-KTP-445U-Power-Pack.html as it does not need a heavy power wire run from the battery and it should tuck in under the dash, use the stock speaker wires just for amp inputs and run all 4 speakers out of the amp.

Mr.tozzi reacted to Bobby MSME in Where is the TRUNK button?
So if you had a trunk release button and you activate it, you still have to get out of the car to take things out or put things in the trunk, right?
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from LittleBlue! in 1.4 turbo?
Bolting the turbo is just step one... that can easily be done with an adapter plate if it does not directly bolt on. You will need to figure out cooling lines, charge pipe, intake, intercooler, fueling, and tuning. But still sounds like a fun project.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from ChevyBeat in Chevrolet Spark 2016 brake pedal clic noise
Stick your head under the dash, find where the clicking noise comes from, take car to dealer and make the guy stick his head under the dash and point where the noise comes from. Otherwise they will replace your whole brake system, 3 tires and a transmission before they find out you just need a mew brake pedal or possibly a squirt of lithium grease.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from thismarks in Suspension Mods - Coilovers / Springs
That height is right on the money for the spark.

Mr.tozzi reacted to thismarks in Suspension Mods - Coilovers / Springs
End result... with the correct rim and tire combination ( 17x7 , 38mm offset ) you can fit 215/45/17 tires all the way around the car with a reasonable drop. Haven't looked at it with stock rims and tires just yet but I'm sure it will still look cool. Also no worrying about going larger than the stupid 55 series stock tires.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Alfetta159 in Service Manual
Havent found one, but the car is super simple, if you have worked in anything that has obd2 and airbags you can find your way around it.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from maryann021 in Black plastic/tape between side windows bubbling.
I pulled mine off.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from SpaceCowboy in Fuel octane rating
The book says 87 so it gets 87, i dont see any reason to put something else in it. New cars are made to run on e10, so theres really no need to run pure gas, plus you help our fellow corn farmers.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from ChevyBeat in Missing organizer from cargo
Junk the fix a flat and compressor and buy a spare tire set from a Aveo to fill in the hole. Grab a thin plywood board anf cut to size glue your carpet to it and put over the spare. Money better spent than a piece of foam

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from ChevyBeat in Foglight install
I would use the original wiring to trigger a relay if you are using lamps that draw almost 4 times as much as the original equipment.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from 51 Champ in Tire rotation and oil change for 2017 spark.
Until your warranty expires follow the book regardless of what the dealership says. If you have an extended warranty contract follow the requirements on the contract or you may be denied coverage if something goes wrong.
If your dealer is putting conventional oil in your engine they are putting the wrong oil as the spark takes synthetic.
I change my oil every 6 months and rotate the tires at the same time, I don't drive enough to reach the mileage.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from 51 Champ in tow capacity
They can ask all they want. They have to prove it to deny a claim.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Bobby MSME in Gas mileage
It all depends on how you drive it. I can get anywhere from 19mpg to 47mpg just by changing how I drive it.
But get a few thousand miles on it before you check your fuel consumption.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from ChevyBeat in HID lights suggestion
I'm with you on that one. Hids don't belong in a halogen housing.
But I didn't post anything because this is clearly someone spamming the net.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from ChevyBeat in Foglight install
Adjust them lower if it is aimed too high. Those are made to be mounted higher as a motorcycle headlamp and not fog lamp so they may be low enough to not bother oncoming traffic.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from KenL in Headlight mod idea
It is not illegal to paint the headlight housing. It is illegal to have blue/red strobes.
Take headlight out, bake in the oven, split housing from lens without burning yourself, clean, prep, paint, re-assemble headlight.
I read somewhere that the 12-15 spark headlights were impossible to split, I don't know about the 16 and newer.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Retired old Gearhead in 2013 Spark Stalling During Slow, Sharp Turns
It is not gonna fix itself. So you need to take to a good mechanic to find the problem.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from tfraser3 in Mod ideas?
It needs a SS badge and a RS badge so the turbo badge won't be lonely and it adds horsepowah, maybe some red racing stripes to show it is really american and yellow fogs to represent the Korean roots,

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Xander0311 in I messed up: Suspended Windows CE
Disconnect the negative on the battery for a bit and it should come back up. If you feel uncomfortable disconnecting the battery cable, you shouldn't be doing anything else but driving that car.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Kensters in MyLink Frozen on Start-up Screen (Pictures)
pull the negative lead from the battery for a good 15-30min plug it back in.... If it doesn't reset itself then pay the dealer to fix it or buy a better head unit.

Mr.tozzi reacted to Ray Dockrey in Recommended Spark Plugs
Is your car indeed a 2016? unless you put an insane amount of miles on it why are you even looking at spark plugs.
-
Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Bobby MSME in Help? Mysterious electrical issue?
Take to a mechanic tell the mechanic the same story as you just typed. If he's any good and you are not expecting free diagnostics he will find the issue.
It is most likely cooling system related, from hitting the deer. Just because the outside isn't visibly damaged doesn't mean things are still all perfect in the engine bay.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from PickyBiker in Manual Transmission shifts okay but doesn't move
they make little power and little torque, and gm pairs them with low cost wear parts. When the driver rides the clutch to compensare for the lack of torque it just tears itself to shreds at some point.

Mr.tozzi got a reaction from Lovgun7 in New Hubcentric rings to balance or not to balance
I would not worry about it those things are very small and light.
