WaltK got a reaction from Aaron in HVAC customer satisfaction program - end April 30, 2016
I called my service provider for the second time, trying to get information regarding this program, he was clueless, and as I continued to prod him, he was becoming annoyed. As far as I'm concerned, it is his job to know, and if he doesn't, call someone who does. I then messaged the above Chevrolet Customer Care, explaining my interest. They ran my vin# and told me that my car qualifies for this program, I explained my distrust regarding the service crew not understanding what this program entails, and the fact that I didn't want to waste my time. They contacted my dealership, made my appointment, and explained to the service writer what needs to be done. I am bringing it in Friday morning. Speaking for myself, I have to say the girls were extremely friendly, helpful, and quick. I still have no idea what is involved, and although it is only 52 deg. here today, I want to get started to find a resolution, I don't want to be running around in July, I'd like to have a resolution by then. I waited all last summer for the "miracle fix", that never happened, I don't want to waste another season. The lemon law is only good for the first two years, and this is the second year. As usual, I will keep the group informed.

Much too many expensive hobbies, can't pass up a store that has the words, "electronics", "tools", "auto accessories", etc.

Nothing major, the usual black bowties, cross rails, fairing, vent visors, and side mouldings, for now.

You've got to go with what you like, everybody's taste is different. But if I were going for stripes, it would be the dual off center stripes.

Nice clean, safe car! Sporty looking with the red accents on the interior and and as a younger person, I'm sure she loves the tech with the screen and safe hands free phone via bluetooth or USB...she's a lucky girl to have her dad buy her an almost new car! These little units handle very well, easy to park and with 10 airbags, well..you get my drift.
BTW...I have flown into the Memorial Airport once, just after the SW runway expansion...great little town..we stayed at the Marriot..very friendly place!

It's a new leftover 2015 LTZ, with the 1.4 liter turbo, w/ a 6 spd. auto trans. It handles well, soft ride but corners well, lots of goodies, remote start, backup cam, auto lights, the whole ball of wax. My buddy calls it the Spark Deville. Got you on the payment plan, cash up front, I like to sleep nights. Haven't had a chance to take any pix of the interior yet, I took out the rear headrests, they really block a lot, even through the rear view mirror.

2013-1LT is your best bet since it is the only year they had a proven good conventional 4sp auto tranny. The CVT tranny's in the later models are problematic at best. Make sure at least the PCV recall was done before it hit 20Kmi. That can be checked by going to the GM website and entering the VIN.

Boy, that sucks. What kind of problems was she having, with the car? It seems a lot of these dealers are the problem, not the cars. If you've got the knowledge, and the proper parts, there isn't anything that can't be fixed. The dealers are just too damned lazy, and they are getting away with it. If they gave her $11,500, they have to know that they can turn that car over, for a profit, with a very small investment. How that Fiat is going to hold up for her, will determine if it was a win win or not. From what I read and hear, they aren't worth the powder to blow them up.

I'm not familiar with the European models, but the "Auto" position was added to the 2014 Sparks stalk, its purpose is to activate all the lights, head, tail, license plate, etc. as daylight turns to darkness. The purpose of this position, is to disable this feature, should you choose to work the lights manually. US models previous to 2014, didn't have this feature. The sensor is for interior lighting.

I finally got around to putting the Michelin on the rear yesterday, great fit, nice sweep across the glass. No problems, I would recommend this one as a good option.

Way too nice...that's not a car! That's a motorized cruiser...I like it and almost bought one in '13, but the object was to get as small a car as possible to maneuver in tight areas like Miami Beach. Got some interior pix? What engine and year did you buy? New ones ('16) have the new GM all aluminum engine series...Interior pix? Keep us updated on your Sonic stuff..lots of interest in that motor vehicle. Enjoy the car and remember that the best car in the world is one that's paid for in cash or paid off...Right?

I would say there is not a whole lot of difference, outside of a hair more width, when actually sitting in the cabin, naturally, there is a little more length in the hatch. As far as getting in and out, I think that is due to the Sonic being a little lower off of the ground, a bit more of a squat to get in and out...

Thanks, as you can see, I immediately ran out to the side moulding/vent visor store The one thing I've noticed, is the Spark is easier to get in and out of, gotta get some miles on her, but so far I am averaging 25/26 city.

I bought my wife an used 2015 Sonic LTZ sedan loaded with everything but sunroof for Christmas. Its the bright red with black leather. It had 8600 miles on it. She loves it. They are really, really nice cars. Oh, to add, my son has a 2014 Sonic LTZ hatchback that he has had for a while. Hasn't been to the dealer yet for any issues.

Keep the Spark..2013 is last model with 4sp conventional auto tranny...If you want manual..well..the '14 to'16 seem to be ok. Sonics are nice..just stay away fom the CVT unless it is a motorbike/quad or 3++multi-speed CVT with a hi torque/rpm engine.
