  1. That sucks. In your case, you must have more than just sensor problems, or else the dealer just didn't replace the right sensor(s). Of course I don't know what works and what doesn't because I'm still in the middle of getting parts to "fix" mine.
  2. Your seat shouldn't be making any clicking or spring noises. I'd get it checked out.
  3. So that's why the damn base LS key is so big! Going from my cavalier's key which was this tiny little thing to the big plastic topper on the new one makes a big difference when I put my key ring in my pocket.

Looks quite a bit different from the newer sparks. Still cute looking, though!
  5. Yeah, I don't plan on ever taking my car through a "brushed" carwash. I've been taking it through either the water only kind or washing it by hand.
  6. The dealer said they already saw this PI/bulletin so they apparently did what was supposed to be done on post 11/12 sparks, which was just the BCM update, the rest of the stuff such as the white temp cam, they are basically ignoring since GM apparently told them not to change it. The guy at the dealer just keeps saying "this bulletin doesn't apply to your specific vehicle. Just wait for the cabin air sensor", like they know for a fact that's what the problem is. Being on backorder, it could be next year by the time it comes in! I actually haven't used the AC for a while and just this week, I
  7. If this was 1976, I'm sure that would be possible. I've got a CB/SW/AM/FM receiver that I flip on once in a blue moon. I once got some faint chitter chatter of people talking in "rubber duck" speak. That's about it. CB has been pretty much dead for at least a couple decades. I'd say those hand held FRS 2-way radios have pretty much replaced CB, I think.
  8. There's really only one other Chevy dealer in the area. The one I'm going to seems to have the best reviews. I called the place back today and they said they already did a BCM update, which I find hard to believe. They also said the PI that Li'll Dew posted doesn't apply to my car. All mine needs is the "in-cabin air temp sensor". They also said that the white temp cam link I have in there works just fine and there's no need to replace it.
  9. Argh! Here I am just sitting here waiting for the dealer to get in a sensor that's supposedly on backorder while people are starting to get their A/C's truly fixed. This is bull.
  10. This link isn't working right anymore. Is there any way you can make this as a jpg or straight up PDF?
  11. That is such awesome news. Fingers crossed it'll make it for an entire week. If it still works right after a month, then I believe we found our fix or at least one of the fixes.
  12. You must be one of the lucky ones that has the sensors etc. working properly. That's crazy they would put a statement out saying that all post November 2012 Sparks have the black cam etc. Someone's records are screwed up. I think November is when they stopped PRODUCING the white parts, not when they stopped putting them in. I bet you can find cars with the white cam etc up through April if not later.
  13. That's cool! I'd think the old compressor was made in Korea. It seems kinda crazy to send a US made part to Korea only to have it come back here. Yeah, really! I guess I'm gonna have to get the whole shebang. I wonder if those members on this board who claim to have fully functional A/C's have the black parts, while everyone with white parts are the ones having problems.
  14. Well, My car was built in 2/13 so It better not have the white parts. Only cars built before 11/12 would have those faulty parts. Edit: WAAHT THE F@#$. My car has the white parts!! How is that possible if I have a post 11/12 built car?!
  15. It's been a month since I took my car in to get the A/C looked at and I'm still waiting for my dealer to get the cabin temp sensor thingy. More than likely that won't change anything. If Lil Dew's A/C is truly fixed, then I definitely need to call the dealer back. Hopefully all it needs is that BCM update.
  16. Sweet! I got the whole OEM floor mat set as well. I'm guessing you got a 1LT?
  17. Hey guys! I think my throttle is acting quirky. Coming home from work tonight as I was getting off the highway (70 mph) and pulling up to a red light, my car was still running (2500-3k RPM's) and very slowly dropped down to idle speed. It acted like my foot was still on the gas pedal. I had my foot on the break and clutch pushed in. I think I also noticed a few times when I lift completely off the gas pedal and push the clutch down and go to shift, I occasionally get this "VROOOM" shifting into the next gear. Something doesn't seem quite right.
  18. I really wanted to just pay for mine outright, but the deal I got on it was too good to pass up! I personally don't give a $#%T about power locks. The only thing I miss is cruise control, but I guess I never really used it that much on my previous cars to worry about it. The power windows are nice which I would easily choose over power locks (The rear hatch is power, though!). I can actually roll down my rear windows while driving!
  19. That's a load of bull. Warranty work is warranty work. You shouldn't pay a dime for work covered under the warranty, you're getting scammed. The only thing I do to my car is check the oil level and tire pressure. I don't know a single thing about replacing car parts etc.
  20. I'd be careful doing that. You never know if the owner can see you touching their car and how they might react. It's interesting that you can see the salsa spark in the reflection of the drivers side window!
  21. I scraped the underside of my front bumper on a speed bump just last week.
