  1. Gap insurance is only for financed loans. All it is intended to do is fill the gap between what the car is worth and what is owed on it. If you pay cash for a car there is no gap.
  2. With this CVT you can shift up and down. The Jatco CVT7 has a multi speed gear box on the end of the CVT transmission. It's not a normal CVT. So the issue is the CVT will return to low as it should but the multi speed gear box likes to stay in a higher gear. So you have to goose it to get the gearbox to go to a lower gear to bring the RPM's back up. Or you can manually shift it to low with the gear selector. http://www.jatco.co.jp/ENGLISH/products/cvt/cvt7.html
  3. It's no different then driving a stick shift. If you need to accelerate quickly with a stick do you just casually press the pedal or do you shift up one gear to bring the engine rpm up to get it to go? You shift up. It's the same thing. This isn't a high horsepower car. I have yet to even remotely come close to getting smacked because the car didn't accelerate. And I would recommend you drive one before passing judgement one way or the other. Driving a CVT car is totally different then any other car I have had. But I had done my homework and was prepared for it. I am not saying it's prefect.
  4. I guess the easiest way to describe it would be goosing it. Just a fast press but not to the floor. Enough to kick it up into first. Believe me. It will move. I have yet to have any issues merging with it. It's really unbelievable just how much get up and go the car has. It puts my PT Cruiser to shame. That may be why I have got used to it so fast. My PT Cruiser was horrible accelerating and merging with it was like putting your life on the line.
  5. I have 2014 and experience the same thing with my CVT. It's worse with the AC on. It's has taken some getting used too but I have got used to how it's going to react in certain situations. Almost always a sharp movement of the throttle will get it to kick in first and get it going. Very rarely does it not work. I call it giving the car a swift kick in the butt lol. I do think the issue is in the programming and that's why the dealership has no fix for it. That's up to GM to remedy but I imagine a reprogram will mess up their mpg claims and cause them issues.
  6. I installed some Pioneer 4x6 3-ways last week and got them installed. I installed a set of Pioneer 4" 2-ways up front today and I was able to fit them in the existing cups. You have to work at it a bit but once you find the right spot they drop right in. Sound is really good. Now to save up for a sub.
  7. I don't care for it. One of the things i so much like about mine is how different and unique it is. That interior looks like any other car interior out there. I may change my mind after I see it complete but from what I see here i just don't care for it.
  8. And to add the clear coat will not protect from rock chips. The clear coat gives the paint a deeper and wetter look and protects it from environmental attack but not from impacts.
  9. I love mine. I have had it a little over two weeks but have wanted one since they came out. I like the CVT and the power is pretty good. Coming from a 09 PT Cruiser it is a much better overall car. I do have a few issues with it. I have a vibration that has come up which I am pretty sure its the crappy tires that come on it. I am going to have them balanced but I am pretty sure they just need replaced. Plus I ran the AC last Saturday for the first time and I am have the cycling issue that so many have complained about. My VIN falls under the AC recall so I plan on taking it in as it gets clos
  10. They all come with the middle cup holder. There is no third seat.
  11. I traded in my 09 PT Cruiser for my 2014 Spark 2LT about a week and half ago. I feel like I went from cheap to luxury. I loved my Cruiser but that thing was something else. 24-25 mpg on the highway. All kinds of electrical problems. No ABS, traction control, or stability control. Turning radius of a Mack truck. 0-60 times measured in minutes. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Small cars are noisy. OEM Goodyear tires suck. I love my Spark and look forward to many years with it. I know I will have issues. That's a fact. Most cars do. First year cars more then what's usual. I owned
  12. Coworker: Looks like a pregnant rollerskate Daughter: I saw you pull up and expected a bunch of clowns to come falling out Mother-in-law: You can carry that around in your pocket instead of parking it Mother-in-law: I didn't realize it had four doors and a back seat. It doesn't bother me. I love the car.
  13. I just got a 2014 LT2 in denim. I am loving it. I live in Mustang, which is right outside of Oklahoma City.
