  1. The reason the fuses are blowing is because the horns are putting too much of a load on the wiring. What happens is, when the load is placed, the wiring gets hot, and the filament in the fuse burns, breaking the circuit, so the wires don't burn. Sometimes, putting in a higher rated fuse will let the juice flow, but the wiring can't handle it, it gets hot, and burns. I wouldn't chance it. I would look at the specs for those units, find out what they draw, and rewire with a larger gauge wire, using an inline fuse, directly to the battery if possible. I would totally avoid the vehicle wiring with
  2. Anything beyond the bulb or fuse, which you already checked, could be messy. It could be anything from a bad socket, a loose wire, a switch, to a bad stalk. If you are handy with a VOM, you could try to track it down, but your best bet would be to take it to the dealership where you bought it, and let them deal with it. Messing with the electrical system could take you to places, that you don't want to be. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!
  3. It's currently just a concept car, something to bring to the show. There is no current plans to produce, or sell this car, so you won't see them on the showroom floors. Maybe down the road, who knows? I've stumbled through a few Korean videos, of the top of the line Sparks, which they label as the LTZ, on YouTube. These things are so loaded up with goodies, climate control, sunroof, etc., you name it. I really can't see how they are going to price this car under the Sonic. The low price, was the initial appeal, I hope they don't blow it out of the water.

  5. This should be interesting, "Chevrolet dealers in the cities where DXP vehicles are being launched to deal with the nuances of the DXP, from ovens to accessories."
  6. My guess would be no blue trim, any trim in your car would be red, judging your other post, stating your car is salsa. The tricky part is determining what they mean, by no blue trim. It cant be the dash fabric, as they are all the same color, on all the models. Possibly they are asking, is their any existing blue trim, as in the radio bezel, etc. As that would be blue, in a blue car. Best bet would be to call the vendor, and ask what they mean by trim.
  7. Congrats on your new Spark, and welcome to the forum ! May she serve you well.
  8. Although a little tough to tell on that sound byte, it sounds to be a small exhaust leak. If so, they shouldn't have a problem spotting it. Let us know how it goes, and welcome to the forum!
  9. Have you tried contacting the girls over at Customer Care, on this site? http://chevysparkforum.com/user/829-chevrolet-customer-care/ They can be helpful, in dealing with your dealership. It's worth a shot.
  10. I'm not familiar with the European models, but the "Auto" position was added to the 2014 Sparks stalk, its purpose is to activate all the lights, head, tail, license plate, etc. as daylight turns to darkness. The purpose of this position, is to disable this feature, should you choose to work the lights manually. US models previous to 2014, didn't have this feature. The sensor is for interior lighting.
  11. Congratulations on the Spark purchase, you will find a lot of collective wisdom here, we have a group of great members. Enjoy the car, and welcome to the forum!
  12. I don't know too much about how the Spark handles this, but I had a similar problem with a Caddy. From what I learned, I would guess you have 1 of 3 possible things going on. 1) The switch that sends the "Door Open/Closed" signal to the BCM is bad. 2) The BCM is not getting the signal from the switch due to a wiring issue. Or 3) there is a module issue with either the BCM or RAP modules. Rap being the retained access power, which keeps everything alive for ten minutes. You can try a reset, by disconnecting your battery cables for a couple of hours. If your bumper to bumper is still in force,
  13. It's been quite a while, since I've even looked back there, but to the best of my recollection, there was the air compressor, a bottle of sealant, and the screwdriver. I do remember there being a blank cutout, I don't recall what was supposed to go in there, but I believe it was for the European models. It may have been a towing hook, maybe someone else will jump in here, with more of an answer, but I don't believe you are missing anything. Congrats, on the Spark purchase, and welcome to the forum!
  14. You are on the west coast, so I couldn't really say, here on the east coast, there isn't much wiggle room at all, most of the dealers stay with the sticker price. When I bought mine, I had cash in hand, but they wouldn't budge, my only bargaining chip was my trade-in, they were low balling me, but I finally made my final offer, and they bit. I don't think the visible green backs hurt. We have a member here, whose dealership is located in Oregon, who occasionally advertises exactly what you are looking for, and blows them out at a price of $9999. So it is doable, my argument would be, that the
  15. Using Michelins on the front, has anyone actually used this rear wiper, or found one that does the complete sweep of the glass? I'm due, and I'd like to avoid any headaches. Thanx....
  16. Welcome to the forum, will be looking forward to see your Spark mods.
  17. It's a lot more subdued looking in this pic, it's a good match for your car. Certainly does the job when the lights go out. Nice job!
  18. Wow! that thing really lights up, what is the actual color of the tape?
  19. The subject was touched upon, but I don't know if anything has ever come from it. You can check it out here. http://chevysparkforum.com/topic/2703-back-seat-replacement/
  20. Glad you got it straightened out, considering all you had done, that price wasn't bad at all. Prices being what they are today, a hundred bucks is almost a gift. Good luck with it, hopefully you'll have some peace now, and enjoy it.
  21. You got it right, The 2k helps cover the medical expenses associated with the accident. It generally covers medical expenses for you, your passengers, and any family members driving the insured vehicle at the time of the accident-no matter who's found to be at fault. After the accident, the biggest pain is the time it takes for insurance companies to determine blame, make payments and, if necessary, file a lawsuit. With personal injury coverage, no blame needs to be assessed. If it is a covered incident, medical and lost income payments are made as soon as possible, and you deal only with
  22. We don't have either one of these models here in the US, so there is no way to make a comparison. Maybe someone on the forum here, may be familiar with these models, and can chime in, and give an opinion. In any case, welcome to the forum, and when you make your choice, enjoy!
