  1. I've had a 2013 Spark, a 2014 Spark, and I am presently driving a 2016 Spark. All 3 have been lovely, flawless machines. I just keep upgrading as they keep evolving. Perhaps I am just lucky. As long as they sell them, I shall buy them. Value, style, economy, utility. Fun to drive. In what other City Car can you bring home a dozen 8ft 2X4's? Drop the passenger seat back, slide the boards in and close the hatch. What other City Car is also a pickup truck? A Fiat 500? A Mini Cooper? A Smart Car? I think not.
  2. Hello Fellow Sparkies- My wife bought a White 2013 2LT, the first Spark she ever saw in her life (or that I saw, for that matter). A week later I purchased a Jalapeno 2013 1LT. Then Chevy Spark rolled out the CVT transmission. I traded my 2013 Spark Automatic for a Salsa 2014 1LT CVT. A month ago my wife located a 2016 2LT CVT with the Granite Black special paint. Zero issues with any of them. Yes, we truly admire the economy, comfort, and versatility of the Chevy Sparks. It might be advertised as a city car, but that didn't stop us from driving to Maine, Michigan, or Canada.
  3. I've been watching the Matiz evolve since 1998. Designed originally by Italdesign, which is owned by Volkswagen and Lamborghini, it has gone from the M100 Series through M300 Series with a hailstorm of improvements. What you will drive as a Spark owner has GM/Chevy, Daewoo, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Renault, Mitsubishi, and even Nissan influence (only add Mitsubishi and Nissan if you have the CVT transmission). Yet still, the original chassis and passenger cabin maintain the Italdesign specs. Quite a history.

  5. I have seen movies presented back to back exclusively by the Fiat 500. Smart Car ads fall like a light snow. I'll tell you why there are no Chevy Spark ads... it is made in South Korea. When the Aveo (South Korea) became the Sonic (Made in USA) after a tech upgrade and a new sheet metal style upgrade, there was a MASSIVE ad campaign. Remember the Sonic parachuting, plunging into swimming pools, doing a barrel roll before a screaming audience during the Super Bowl? The United Auto Workers have an enormous say in GM. Especially GM North America. You can sell it, but NO advertising.
  6. We have two 2013 Sparks. I have 20,000+ miles on mine, my wife 30,000+ miles. No engine oil usage, no A/C problems since purchasing both in August 2012 (and no, we are not taking them to be checked). I would love to have a CVT transmission though.
  7. I drive a 2013 Spark 1LT, my wife has a 2013 Spark 2LT. Both have been trouble-free and our next set of vehicles will most likely be another set of Chevy Sparks. We have seen what appears to be an unlimited amount of advertising for Smart Cars, Mini Coopers, Honda Fits, the Fiat 500, the Toyota Yaris, on and on. We have yet to see one TV ad for the fabulous Chevy Spark. Does someone know the reason for this?
  8. Northeast Pa. here! My wife has a white 2LT and I have the crazy green 1LT. Bought them a week apart (she would not let me drive hers, so I bought my own...) We've had them for a few months now and I still LOVE climbing aboard to take a spin. Lots of people have asked if they are electric. *grin* Next year some will be-
  9. My Spark 1LT is now a consistent 42.0 MPG in the mountains of Pennsylvania, mostly back and forth to work. Not much in the way of stop signs and red lights. My wife has a 2LT and gets about 39 MPG with a nasty mountain she has to clear to get to work, and that is with some city driving. Wifey's 2LT got 45 MPG going from Pennsylvania through New York and Ontario to Michigan and back. We are happy!
  10. I have a Spark 1LT. My wife has a Spark 2LT. We haven't tried smokin' em yet.
  11. Hello All! I'll be in charge of maintaining two 2013 1.2 liter North American Chevy Sparks, a 1LT (mine) and a 2LT (the wife's). I know I can buy oil filters from my local Chevy dealer, but does anyone have Fram, Purolator, STP or any other part numbers for an oil filter? I'd love to be able to purchase an oil filter from Autozone, Advance, or even Walmart. Any data? Thanks! Skyway
