Smikster 10
Ted the Spark hits 60.7 mpg! or 59.7 at the pump, new record! Ted gets 50 mpg at 50 mph all the time and 60 mpg at 40 mph but I feel that is to slow to drive anywhere far. Loving my new car! Jopar_X and Sparkzilla
bluer101 241
I still can only get 33-35 but that's all in town. Yours must be highway.
bluer101 241
I just read in the owners manual that you can reset the average speed, timer, and average fuel economy. I will reset and see what happens. It's been reading 33 mpg for quite a while now.
Smikster 10
I reset all 3 before the 26 mile trip, and used my foot to keep the instant mpg at 65+ best I could full to empty fill up always gets me one less mpg then my avg says.

Greg_E 211
That's still pretty impressive for a one shot trip. Smikster
Lazerface 24
I had some similar results (~50-55mpg) when trying to hypermile...but I gave up on that :p Nice results Smikster
Greg_E 211
It takes a lot of work, and a calm life to always get that much, I drop two or three MPG just from being in a bad mood. Smikster, jibb3r, Jopar_X and 2 others
70-yenko-nova 12
when I get in a bad mood I take out the other car... 7mpg ouch.. Edited April 10, 2013 by 70-yenko-nova
Greg_E 211
That's instantaneous mileage which is not real impressive, coast long enough with it in gear and you'll see 99mpg Jopar_X

Ted breaks 50, but just and inst is lower then that most of the time (52-54) no hills to the eye present. Wind may of been at my ass for all I know but that is a new high for that speed. Greg_E 211
Strangely enough I averaged almost 40mpg on my commute this morning, and I was doing right around 70mph, knocked it down to about 38mpg on the way home cause I was in a hurry and going a bit faster. Not sure how all that happened, normally those speeds result in 36mpg or less. Smikster
WaltK 305
I've noticed in the last few days with the moderating temperatures, I've climbed from a steady 28-29 to 32-33. Which is a miracle in this neck of the woods. Also, I think we may now be off the winter blend, which should offer a slight improvement. Here's hoping. Smikster
