bluer101 241
I think 2 Phillips screws after removing the lens. I removed the unit when I did my LEDs.
Greg_E 211
This is another one of those times where I wish we could buy the stupid service manual! I have a camera that I want to put on the windshield to record while I'm driving and need to connect to a +12 that gets power when the car is running to trigger automatic recording. Fishing the power and video cables through as well as the proper connections would be a lot easier if I didn't have to guess. Mostly I want this so I can grab clips of stupid driving doing things in front of me, this happens often enough that I want to capture the events.
bluer101 241
Yes I'm waiting for the service manual too. I think the power outlet is switch so you could tap In there too.
psquare75 35
I think I'm going to split the cable so I have the OEM port and a hidden flash drive in the glove box.
Lovgun7 75
Here is the mirror I'm looking at. http://www.ebay.com/itm/normal-rear-view-mirror-backup-camera-3-5-dispaly-fits-Ford-Nissan-GM-Toyota-/251254870887?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a7ff51367&vxp=mtr i want a parking camera too .... wanting to be as budget friendly as possible i was looking at this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_67824_Scosche-RVC1R.html and this one http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PLCM36-3-5-Inch-Universal-Rear-view/dp/B0037WNONS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_1 those are set up for reverse on then theres a slew of others aswell just make sure the have that Auto on feature or else you'll have to turn the camera on all the time http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_1?rh=n%3A1253823011%2Ck%3Arear+parking+camera+lcd&keywords=rear+parking+camera+lcd&ie=UTF8&qid=1377273753&rnid=2941120011 A mirror would be my first choice, as an aftermarket unit. It may be a little tricky to get a wire up there neatly though. i would like a bigger mirror and it would be a plus to have a camera ... you can actually tuck the wires under the roof there a gap where they easily fit. bluer101 241
The mirror I want is posted back a few posts. This looks like factory and that's what I like. Clean
jibb3r 29
Not a bad idea, my only question is; where would you stash a 7" display, for the camera??
Lovgun7 75
Not a bad idea, my only question is; where would you stash a 7" display, for the camera?? 7 inch not sure.... You could place it the the storage in front of the cup holders.... but if i get a smaller display i coukd sacrafice a cup holder and get a mount for it then run the wire under the dash console ofcourse the easier route would be the mirror display that clips over the factory mirror Edited August 30, 2013 by Lovgun7
