I might buy a extra set and try with those first. Then I don't have to rush either.

I would just buy a single light, you'll know after that if you can get inside. the post I read is in here somewhere, the user said he ended up melting the light trying to get the glue to break free.

You could try putting them in a warm oven, about 200 degrees, for 5 or 10 min to loosen the adhesive. I would not attempt this until there's some replacements readily available. The light output might be reduced some, but the look is nice.

so far it looks like that us models don't come apart easily. i did 250 degrees for about 30 minutes, does not want to come apart.
