This is an awesome sub for the price. Mine is in the trunk and I still have room for groceries. PS: this thing gets LOUD and deep with no distortion.

I did an under $200 upgrade which improved the sound big time. I replaced the rear speakers with Kicker 40CS464's and installed a Dual SBP8A amplified subwoofer. I didn't replace the front speakers as it wasn't in my budget and they are two ways at least and sound OK. From Amazon, speakers 48.90, sub 99.99, 8 Gauge amplifier install kit 11.41. Total $160.30. It now sounds like a real car audio system. Bluer above is right. You gotta have some bass !

shawn, look on the fuseblock closely. I found a .250" male tab in there that turned out to be a switched circuit. (check whatever you find with a voltmeter just to be sure) I just crimped a female .250" on my sub remote wire and pushed it onto the tab. Time required ? Less than 5 min.

I have my MP3's on several flash drives. When a new song comes on, the volume is down for the first second or so and is really starting to annoy me. Does anyone else have this problem ?. I turned off the auto volume in the radio menu off but it didn't make any difference. Thanks in advance for any help. Vic

I'm getting a Dual SBP8A amplified subwoofer for Christmas for my Spark. I know I have to splice into the left and right rear speakers to feed the subs high level inputs. I'm concerned about polarity and phasing. If I do both sides the same, does it matter which way the wires from the speakers connect to the sub ? Also the Dual need a remote on lead (blue wire) to turn it on. Is there an easy place to connect this other than removing the whole head unit ? I was thinking of a circuit connection in the fuse block. I would also like to replace the pair of factory speakers that are not coaxial

No problem Angrybird12. Of course as soon as I mentioned mine was damaged they said no way on the core refund. I just got my brand new replacement from Ebay motors today and it even had all three lamps included. Total price was $113 with shipping. It arrived by UPS in perfect condition. Now THATS a deal. Check a few more GM sites Angrybird12. Chevy Wholesale Parts didn't show one either UNTIL I placed my order. THEN the next day my order went on hold and they told me there was a core charge.

Some little punkster punched a hole in my left rear light package in the middle of the night last weekend. Not enough for an insurance claim so I looked at the Chevy/GM wholesale parts web sites. The assembly is around $165-$170 with a CORE CHARGE of $50. I told them that mine was damaged and they said GM wouldn't take it back as a core. So let's see...... This is a, um, "CHUNK OF PLASTIC" with 3 holes in it (lamp socket holders, aka "HOLES") Why in the heck would there be a core charge on this part ? Can they rebuild it ? No. Would someone trade it in because it's dirty ? No I found o

My 2013 Spark is going in tomorrow for the A/C recall fix. They said something about a new wiring harness. It's been hovering around 100 degrees lately and my A/C seems to be OK, especially when the car is in motion. At stops I can feel it back off the cool but it never goes warm. I'll let you all know how it goes after the repair. This is without a doubt the most fun vehicle I have ever owned and don't let anyone tell you that it's not a freeway car. I cruise at 65 twice a day and grin while I'm watching the MPG reading.
