TommyQueso 0
Hello, I recently purchased a 2020 Spark LS. I know that this model is bare bones but wasn’t sure if the Driver’s seat was adjustable in terms of raising or lowering. There are 2 handles but nothing seems to happen while lifting or lowering the lever.
Ray Dockrey 97
Did you look in the manual? I am sure it explains what the two levers do.
Ray Dockrey 97
So I pulled the manual and it shows that if two levers are there one adjust to adjust height and one is for reclining. You can find the manual here. Page 31 and
TommyQueso 0
Thanks for your response. I had found it in the manual but I found that the seat does move vertically when moving the lever. I’ve tried it while the car is running and every other situation. I’m curious whether I have a malfunction or it’s not set up to work in the LS model.
Ray Dockrey 97
Have you tried it not sitting in the car? Maybe taking the weight off of it would help. I doubt they would put the levers there and not have them functional.
Jay Bird 2
Pull the lever up and release, pull the lever up and release, pull the lever up and release, this pumping action will raise the seat. To lower the seat do the reverse. You can do this while sitting in the seat.

Actually it is easier to operate the lever from outside the car, with door wide open. And in my 2017 Spark, it does work good, I like driver's seat higher to see road ahead better. Parmela 0
When I was shopping for my Spark, the salesman adjusted the height of the seat before I took it for a test drive. He adjusted the seat by pumping the leverl up and down. Once he adjusted it, I got in and it was a little high. I was able to lower it a little by lifting the same lever while sitting in the seat. I'm not sure it would go up with weight on it.
