My question is after replacement, and if oil consumption stops, how much irreversible damage was already done to the engine? Schaltz 27 Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 Sorry to hear about the oil burning problems, but seems only to be a problem in the US-spec cars. My 2012 with more than 105.000 miles does not use a drop with 10/40 oil. With the recommended 0/30 it used about half a dipstick pr. 10.000 miles. So hardly any comsumption.
