  1. Unfortunately the new Spark was giving me too many issues...so ended up trading her in. Do have some random like-new OEM parts and a pair of Kicker KS46 speakers for sale. Parts: 1) OEM air compressor and tire sealant (never used) 2) Cargo Net 3) Kicker KS46 speakers (1 pair) 4) OEM GM Sport Pedals--"automatic" --(used for less than 300 miles). PM with offers. Thanks.
  2. The only troll here seems to be you. Instead of just writing babble..why don't you do something useful....like followup on your "comparison" test. It has already started to cool off most days where I live...so if and when my dealership gets any '14's in..it would be difficult to confirm either way.
  3. No reason to start that silly nonsense debate again...since no one 2014 owner here has recently posted their A/C system is working fine. You even stated a few posts back you were going to do your own "comparison" test....but haven't wrote anything in regards to any followup. My dealership doesn't have any '14's in stock..so I couldn't test out the A/C even if I wanted to.
  4. I find mine mostly does it when coasting/braking to a stop or after driving for a while and then stopped at a light. I'd make sure to test those situations out while it is still hot out, if you can.
  5. I am glad to see you have nothing useful to add. My "advice" to you is stop bumping this thread so others think there are really two threads, with two possible and different A/C solutions. Now scurry along and let this thread die in peace.
  6. I'm sorry you were wrong and needlessly started a new post since you couldn't figure out that your "recall" was nothing different than what was already done to multiple other vehicles with the same problem. Your continued babbling though, adds nothing productive and shows you're more interested in arguing than helping to gather useful information to the A/C problem.
  7. Please refer to the main A/C (pinned) thread for the most up-do-date information. Minus some of the others crying about the wording...there is no additional A/C "recalls" and/or fixes documented by GM to be done, as of today's date. This is also why I didn't think it was a good idea to have another thread...since it would be confusing to some.
  8. Sorry if you lack the intelligence to understand basic troubleshooting concepts. Guess for you, ignorance is really bliss. Post nonsense and you'll be called out on it....it's just that simple, "son".
  9. Not too sure what you've been drinking but re-read your post # 340. The "gist" is just because the same number of 2014 owners haven't complained about their A/C (that we know of).....doesn't in any way, shape or form mean the A/C problem is fixed for the 2014 model year. More 2014 owners need to happen before any type of usable data can be concluded.
  10. You are again "assuming" the problem is "cured" with the 2014. There is no indication is it given the small number of 2014 owners on here. My point with writing the previous post...is that it isn't just that simple.
  11. And that is sort of what I'm saying. If it was just a simple case like that....it wouldn't take much to create two lists...find out what parts was changed/different vendor....rate the parts from "high probably of causing this error" to low...and start field testing from top to bottom. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit...but I do believe if it was really that simple...they would have found the problem already.
  12. I'm sorry...and I know we have discussed it before...but you're wanting to equate the two..rather than looking at the facts. Looking at the changes between the 2013 and 2014 model, I see nothing related to the A/C that would have changed. That does not mean a minor change/sensor/etc didn't happen....but some completely new and racial A/C system was not used for the 2014 model. Given the recent BCM update...even a software issue should be able to be safely ruled out. While yes, many of us have the A/C issue...not everyone (pre-2013) does. I think it just comes out to plain old statis
  13. Lol...sure and can see where this is going. As previously suggested by another member...get a Fiat or Mini if you supposedly have the funds. You are also forgetting the R+D into making a car a convertible..as it does involve a little more than a power saw and some cloth (if you plan on it lasting for any length of time).
  14. A sunroof?.. yes. A convertible ? hopefully not. Minus the cost (and the hideous end-result)...remember additional weight will be needed to strengthen the structure. Unless you don't mind getting to 60 in half-a-day....I wouldn't give the idea a second thought.
  15. Agreed and time to lay this to rest, Gossamer. I am "glad" you posted but this thread should probably be merged with the other existing A/C thread...since it appears no new "recall, service bulletin, and/or group hug" has been issued on the Sparks A/C issue, to date.
  16. I'm glad to hear that...since it seems like you feel more interested in arguing than helping to solve the question of either one or two separate updates. Service write-up wording makes no difference to me...just figuring out what was done. Since (in the other thread)..as of yesterday...the "Chevy Specialist" gave no additional logical solutions to a members case...it would seem no additional software/recall/etc is available in addition to the cam/sensor/BCM update previously mentioned, at this time. If something changed, or became available since yesterday...that is something to investiga
  17. You're confusing what was wrote. Waltk stated his said nothing about recall wording on his paperwork but the BCM update was done. Per the bulletin....it appears all Sparks are to BCM updated with the sensor being optional (based on manu. date). Regardless...it really doesn't matter how it was or wasn't worded on someone's paperwork...but if in fact there are two distinct software updates available or just one "BCM update".
  18. Ok...but that's not really the point. Many (including myself) are trying to get to the bottom of the A/C issue. Mine had the BCM update with no marked change. If there is another software update out there...many would probably like to find out about it.
  19. Well, I see where you put they changed the cam/sensor. I guess if it was two different software updates completed...i'd think it would be mentioned in two different areas. That, or they didn't do the BCM update on your car, for some reason.
  20. You sure it wasn't the BCM software update discussed about in the main A/C thread ?
  21. Wrong side of the pond....so whats covered/length might be different.
  22. Now I'm the one that's confused. You stated they said that others with A/C issues have been repaired but were not at dealerships in your area. So does that mean other dealerships tried different fixes (that were not done at your dealership) that could be successful ?? Also you talked about a "repurchase specialist". Guess I'm not sure that that is since googling that term just tells me their salaries. As for the lemon law route...I'm surprised that would even suggest that as an option....since (from what I've heard) is a pain also on their end and not something they would want to gladly
  23. I think you're confused since you're basically saying the same thing I told you was already done. All the items (for my build date)..they stated have been completed per the "documents" and I'm still having A/C issues.
