Stumbled across the forum when searching for ways to personalize/modify Sparks. I'm currently on my 2nd, the first was in an accident (pics in profile) and deemed totaled by my insurance.

Going by the angles of the photos,it seems the Spark fared better than the other car. Just by appearance, it looks like a new bumper cover would do the trick. I guess the airbags pushed it into the total zone. Glad no one was hurt, lots of luck with the new Spark, and welcome to the forum!

Welcome! There's a reason why the Spark was the iihs top safety pick among mini cars. Amazing how much airbags cost. Your old car probably had frame damage, too. Just be glad it was totaled, they're never the same after a hard hit.

I saw the detailed report of the estimated damage. There was a lot messed up, especially since I was pushed into the Sanoma in front of me. But of course that was like throwing a paper cup at Andre the Giant, I bounced and they didn't have a scratch.

Sorry Smikster, I have no clue what auto/scrap parts auction it went to. I'm sure whoever bought it has already stripped it and sold it in parts as they've had it for about a week now.
