Sparktacus 10
Can somebody please post detailed instructions (pics would also be helpful) of how to remove and replace the air cabin filter in my 2013 Spark? Is it behind the glove box? Thanks and much appreciated. Edited November 20, 2013 by Sparktacus
icepick 9
Yes it's behind the glove box. No tools even required to get it out. Don't have my car home, wife has it at work, but no real "tutorial" needed. Open glove box, and squeeze sides so it can fully drop down. Pull to remove bottom hinge. The air filter is right behind a black door with snap tabs. Edited November 20, 2013 by icepick
Dori 13
I heard that the spark doesn't come with a cabin air filter. Myth or fact? Also is there a better filter that will filter out the Lunt and dust in the air to prevent build up on dash and touch screen? Smikster
icepick 9
Myth. I actually pulled mine out yesterday.

Sparktacus 10
Thanks icepick. This is similar to the Saturn ION....and yes indeed there is a filter. Yesterday I got the diagram and an actual filter at Chevy.
weetsj 39
it's like Icepick said you also should pay attention after pulling out the filter, to clean the house and hose. usually there are leaves in it
Rocketone 3
Personally, I take my filter out and the air con is soooo much better. No filter to block off airflow. I did this to my 2004 Saturn Ion and even in Las Vegas during summer, I was getting too damn cold. LOL. I took filter out of Spark a few weeks ago and I notice air comes out better. As far as what the filter traps......if you don't live in a dusty or smoggy environment you will be fine. weetsj
