Here is my post on someone else's questions. Hey SparkNut, I have a 2014 also. I had transmission shudder and then a squealing noise when I drove going up hill. I research good ole you tube. What I found out was possible transmission. I needed to FLUSH my transmission, not to just change my fluid and filter/pickup tube. I did it my self, not really that hard. I purchased a fluid called Lube Gard Completed, CVT Fluid , yes spelling is correct. Once I flushed my transmission and change the pick up tube/filter. My spark does not shudder anymore and the noise went away, and now

Good day, that is called shuttering from your transmission. I posted on what happens to mine and how I corrected it, currently I have almost 180,000 miles on her and she is still going strong. 30 -34 miles per gallon. Check out my post and hopefully that will give you some insight on what to do. r/HTC2CWO3.

CVT Transmission shudder - normal?

Not sure if you still have your stark, I have a 2014 spark. It would shudder often. I have the fluids change out at 80,000 miles, and currently at 160,000 so I decided to flush the transmission my self, change filter/pickup tube. I used CVT fluid called Lube Gard Completed, yes spelling is right. My spark so far has been operating better than ever, no shuddering is going on and the RPM/Speed variables seems to be in order. The flushing was not very difficult, pickup tube/filter went on very easy and I did not use RTV/Permatex when installing new pan gasket, no leaks. Hopefully this infor -
New to the group, proud owner of a 2014 with a 2016 Spark transmission! I am a DIY type of a person, hopefully this site will be helpful and provide additional information!
