Anyone else? Key fobs (OEM) randomly not recognized since new

Have a 2016 Spark 2LT gas.

 

Since new, sometimes the key fobs are not recognized. Doors won't unlock, push button start won't work. It was only happening about once every 3 months, but now seems to be about once a month.

 

I have carried both fobs together and they both work at the same time or both don't work at the same time so I'm convinced it's not the fobs.

 

When I reported it to the dealer while the car was under b2b warranty, they updated some software. But that didn't fix it. And now they're not wanting to cover it even though it was pre-existing.

I have had this happen a few times since new.  Not sure how to fix it.
