Unreliable bluetooth playback

My 2014 Spark never had any audio problems. My 2017 seems to be getting worse over time. At first it was simple glitches and cutting out briefly if I connect through bluetooth. Now it has gotten to the point of activating my Samsung phone's player I'm my pocket, through the phone's speakers. This happens every time now, and usually its brief until the phone is connected. Sometimes it will fail to connect and my phone will continue to play through its speakers until I pause it from the phone itself. Can anyone please advise me as to how fix this?  Thanks.
