How much load can a Spark take?

Thinking about using our Spark for a holiday, long drive, fourpeople and a roof rack and maybe a couple of bikes too.

Anyone have any advice on maximum loading for the roof bars and cars?

I dont have the exact measurments but I have fit 3 people a car seat plus loaded the back with luggage and did not see an issue. However with a car seat makes it difficult to fit.

2500 miles with fully loaded car a passenger 3 hand bag tools case of powerade power tools 4 pillows bed set TV and PS3 up and down mountains slowest speed was 55 mph on most steepest grades.

Mine says right on the drivers side sticker lower door jam that also talks about tire pressure. Something like "Max load 661 lbs total passengers and cargo".

Yea the biggest restriction on this vehicle is the tires. their load capacity is SO limited ( 1047 lb ) so based JUST on tires 1047 x 4 = 4188 - 2500 = 1688 /2 = 844 based on tires.

then you have to figure out load based on GVWR

so 3064 - 2500 = 664 lb

So in reality yea 661lb would be just about the MAXIMUM the vehicle could safely carry/stop.

As far as roof capacity, most manufacturers say no more then 100lbs on most vehicle roofs. I would stick with that as a max roof load.

My friend weighs 360. I weigh 175. Are we safe in my Spark. Also, how much weight does the front passenger seat safely hold?
