  1. According to the folks at OnStar, my hood is the reason the car alarm goes off. I checked for a sensor and it appears there may be two? One tells you if the hood is open and that works fine, the other apparently is the latch. Does anyone have experience with this? This seems to be a similar issue on a Cruze.
  2. I am having this problem too. Not sure if its the latch sensor or the hood open sensor. There appears to be a different sensor outside of the latch itself.
  3. I seem to have picked up a foul odor somewhere in my 2020 Spark but for the life of me can't find the location or do a remediation. I've done all of the following with some improvement but no cure. - Baking soda on the carpets and chairs - Vinegar spray on the roof liner and carpet - Upholostery cleaner on carpets - Lysol in the air ducts and from the external intake - replaced cabin air filter - washed the engine bay Only thing left is to spray lysol on the door jams and rubber/plastic water drain areas. It seems like its moldy inside.
  4. Good to know. I did Turtle wax and that worked well but can't seem to find the odor emanating in the car. Carpet smells great though.

    Yellow World!

Just picked up a new to me 2020 Chevy Spark 1LT due to the soaring gas prices and the fact I heard this was a great car. Mine was purchased at auction so it needs some clean up. Any tips on removing the front seats and removing the moldy smell from Florida are appreciated! Right now, I have some baking soda on the carpet in the car to dry it out and I'm going to replace the air filter. 44k miles on this one so far but mechanically its in great shape.
