Dunejunkie 0
Hey there, My girlfriend has a 2014 Spark. The A/C recently went out and I have been attempting to diagnose the issue. The low side shrader valve was leaking so I replaced that, evacced the system and refilled... Now here's where things get weird. With the a/c on, the compressor engages as it should at idle and pressures seem ok, BUT I increase the RPMs the compressor instantly cycles off and will continue to kick on and off every few seconds while I hold the revs. The condenser fan does not run at all. I checked all of the fuses and swapped in some known good fan relays but nothing changed. I put power to the fan and it spins up no problem. As far as I can tell the wiring is in tact. Any ideas? Someone had suggested that a bad expansion valve could cause the high side pressure to spike and shut off the compressor, but that doesn't seem to explain the fan not running. Dunejunkie 0
To clarify, at idle with the compressor running, we are still getting warm air from the vents
