Civil 0
Hey Chevy Spark community, I'm installing a turbo and building a header for the Spark, and am curious what's the function of the 5th runner on the exhaust manifold?
Civil 0
Can this fifth port be covered? Is it for emissions only?
Red2LT 1
I have seen that too and I am also curious. I don't have the heat shield on my car, and I have a custom cone air filter with stock airbox removed. I have all the sensors and stock tubing in place so I don't have any engine lights. It runs quite a bit better. I would think that port is coming off of engine for some reason but I have no idea why. I was told that can behind the exhaust manifold is a cat converter, and there is a second cat converter under the car with a resonator and then it goes to the muffler. You probably know all this if you are building an exahust manifold for it. I hope you come back here and update this I would like to know how it turns out. I am not interested in putting a turbo on this car but an exhaust manifold without that big can on there would be nice.
