Jmcsqrd 3
Well, I finally finished my roof rack. I decided that I didn't like the look of the ones that clipped into the door well so I pulled out my welder. I installed nutcerts on the roof channels. Three on each side so hat i could remove it whenever i need. The basket and frame are all light gauge steel and the front fairing is aluminum diamond plate. Then i powder coated it at work using our warehouse kilns. UnchargedCandy
Sparkyadventure 0
THis is exactly what i am looking for. I have the rack fab figured out, but I am struggling with mounting it and keeping the roof water tight and not completely destroying the resale value of the car. Can you send some more pics of how/where you installed the nutcerts into the room channel? My roof channel seems like it is made of plastic and doesn't seem like it would hold safely.
