Bass lowers volume when playing audio over speakers

When playing any sort of audio over the speakers in my Chevy spark, the volume lowers. And it's not the volume you can see on the display, thats adjustable with the knob. It's just how loud the speakers play. I can also confirm it has nothing to do with any of the eq setting as I have tried changing it. 

 

Thinking back, I also don't remember this being a thing in the past, so maybe something in the speaker drivers broke.
