I think the only Sonic that gets better mileage than the Spark is the 1.4 L turbo. That of course is the more expensive model. Just comparing the Sonic to the Spark, I can't help but prefer the Spark over the Sonic. It just seems to have so much more "eye candy" and value for the price. 2 year old Sonics in my area (base model, crank windows, manual locks etc.) are currently going for more than a new Spark LS. I still want a Spark, it's just that I'm gonna have to do something to keep the exhaust system from rusting, or hope they've improved it by the time I'm ready to buy.
