Anyone have luck finding coilovers for the 2016-2017 spark? Want to lower mine but can't find any brands that have a set yet. the 2015 suspension sure looks similar to the 2016+ suspension wonder if it's the same

Doesn't seem like there is anything available yet, other than a few questionable kits on ebay.  Suspension is not the same as the 15 and older Sparks, at least the factory part numbers are different.

You can however get lowering springs from Korea: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tuning-Storm-Spring-Down-Lowering-4p-For-2016-2017-Chevy-Spark-THE-NEXT-SPARK-/172311444512?fits=Year%3A2016|Make%3AChevrolet|Model%3ASpark&hash=item281e8ffc20:g:b2MAAOSwZVlXtl1w&vxp=mtr

Looking at adjustable coilover springs from a 2015 Civic Si for the rear perches. The set is around $62 and 1-4" adjustment.  Too many projects right now,  but I will repost with a pic of the front stock struts modified with the Mazda Miata adjustable coils or Civic coils if the quality is better. The rears bolt through the bottom spring cup. I would put a second locking nut on to make sure there were no accidental issues with vibration. Maybe even some lock-tite. Either way, looks like a cheap and possible option. I got this idea from a picture on a suspension mod site. There was a pic of a new Spark with this type of adjustable coil in the rear.

Follow up... Many snags with the rear coil mods. Ended up with a semi stock spring hybrid setup. Honestly, just cutting the rear springs and using the coilover cups as a bottom cushion would have been perfect.  The Civic Si and Miata coilover springs both didnt have enough spring travel and could have been dangerous if the car ever left the ground. I included many pictures to better describe what I was attempting. IMG_20190518_130903.jpg

End result... with the correct rim and tire combination  ( 17x7 , 38mm offset ) you can fit 215/45/17 tires all the way around the car with a reasonable drop. Haven't looked at it with stock rims and tires just yet but I'm sure it will still look cool. Also no worrying about going larger than the stupid 55 series stock tires.
