njresler 14
Mine took just over 3.5 almost 3.75 qts. This was my first time doing it myself. New ac delco filter was about .25 qts it's the smallest filter I've seen on a engine. My lawnmower used a larger filter.

Retired old Gearhead 201
Slight over-fill is not a problem. Half a quart over is about the max you want to run and one quart may cause foaming at higher temps. Half a quart is about 1/4 inch over the top hatch marks. The filter is small because the engine is small.
stevesparky 20
I just did my 4th oil change. My Spark holds just a little under 4 quarts. 23,000 miles thus far, and my Spark runs like a champ. I love this little car! Does not burn any oil between oil changes. My wife also drives the heck out of this car. Zoom, Zoom, Zoom! Been buying my oil filters off ebay. About 6-8 bucks shipped. Get my oil at Walmart. Pretty easy to change. You need a filter "socket", which I got at Walmart.
