Widget 36
Here is a couple of pics of the changes I have made today. New wheels and induction cone. Excuse the dirt, what with the lovely Scottish winter the roads here are terrible. Edited January 18, 2013 by Widget theoth

Lazerface 24
I like the silver. But I do think a satin black would go well to compliment the plastic trim / b-pillars / accents.
Widget 36
The wheels probably will be going black at some point. I am also gonna wrap the black plastic in 3d carbon vinyl to try and improve the look as the plastic is a bit cheap looking and is already starting to fade a little around the edges because of the salt on our roads. paddyj2day 0
Looks very nice. You'll have to keep us updated. Did you notice much power gain with the air intake, or was it just a case of wanting to get a better sound?
Widget 36
Another small change today. I have removed the horrible orange side repeaters and replaced then with some nice clear units. Concening the intake I feel that the pickup is slightly better and I am able to pull away that little quicker, the sound it makes is alot better and the engine now doesnt sound as asthmatic lol. theoth 0
What type of induction cone is this Widget? Where I can find it? I was looking for something like that from K&N but it comes little too pricy for me...
Widget 36
The induction cone is $46 from my local car accesory shop. Made by Ripspeed
theoth 0
It sounds like a nice and economic choice. Thanks for the info.
tommyspark 24
What are you doing about keeping the intake from flopping around while you drive? I've always used zip ties if it had rubber intake hose. I dig the wheels! Personally I say leave them the color/way they are.
Spark_Rules-0713 9
Those wheels are NICE

tommyspark 24
I'm thinking of ideas for a short ram due to the colder weather impacting my gas mileage. Where is your MAF sensor on your intake? Simply detaching the stock airbox isn't an option here. The MAF is part of the top of the airbox. How did you get around this? Or was yours different?
Chris Bemis 5
tommyspark, what I'm thinking is if you want a warm air set up, keep the tube that goes to the grille. The one that goes to the resonator, make a U shaped snorkel to point it back towards the engine, to pick up warmer air by the engine. Should be easy enough to do. Perhaps even some pre-shaped radiator hose, if you can find one that has a tight U molded into it.
tommyspark 24
That's about.our.only.option with the MAF sensor being where it is. Well that or buy an.injen for $200 something.... ill come up w something. I've always built short rams for winter.time.in every.car I've owned
Widget 36
my MAF is situated halfway along the black intake tube behind the filter. You can make it out in my pic.
