Liftgate glass spontaneously shattered

Hey guys, I haven't been on the forum much recently, but I Just Had An Occurrence that I have to ask about

Just a few minutes ago I was outside getting something out of my spark, closed the passenger front door, and the rear liftgate glass popped and shattered and a lot of it fell out

 

Is this something other people have had problems with?

Its really strange as these glass are bonded very well to sustain high air pressure. As you have mentioned that just with slight air pressure from closing a door it popped, it's really thing to worry. Better get it checked at service station, I hope this must be covered by warranty as manufacturing defect.

Was it HOT that day by any chance ? Anything Sharp or Pointed near Liftgate ?  Heat / pressure are the most common causes.  I’ve had it happen on other brand cars! Warranty?  CAR INSURANCE..,Maybe?

This exactly happened to my 2020 Spark. I got into front seat, closed door normally and lift gate window shattered.

2013 hatchback. Popped and shattered while mobile doing 40mph. I had just put up 2 rear windows. 10 seconds later it broke. Very hot day as it sat at the beach all locked up for 7 hours. Ran the A/C a bit. After the cab cooled down i shut off ac, opened all 4. Then proceeded to close rear 2. I don't like the flapping noise from rear windows being down.
