2017 spark lt brakes....

Recommended Posts

Your hypothesis is correct. Size matters when it comes to brake pads.

Expensive sporty cars like the Corvette has massive sized pads in relation

to curb weight of car.

However why change original brake pads before they wear out?

I would keep using them until showing signs of obvious wear. Just give yourself enough distance to stop the car.

I also feel like the brakes are weak. I think its a combination of the cvt and the brakes.  If you put in neutral and brake, it feels like regular.  When cvt is engaged, it feels like its being dragged.  Once i wear them out i will put something better. If they exist.

I have the 2017 Spark LT. I just installed my new rotors and brakes. I bought these off Ebay. I also have 12mm spacers I run with my stock rims as well to bring them out to the edge of my fenders. The new brakes work nice.
