silverspark78 5
I was driving the car up a hill and trying to pass a car. The speed limit was 45mph. The engine was going around 3500-4000 rpm. I'm guessing this is bad for the engine? Could I have done damage to the engine doing this?

Fire Spark 13
That's still well under redline. Shouldn't hurt anything other than your MPG's (if you make it a habit).
Bobby MSME 100
I have reached 4000 rpm at least a dozen times in 14 months of driving my 2017 with CVT, and she is still running like the day I got it.
Splash Spark 11
damn i already hit the 6150 rpm limit. i tried to do it while parked but it limits you to like 3500 rpm. Had to hit the highway to reach the limit.
