Got rear ended today (pics). Think she's a write-off?

I got rear ended by an f150 today, nobody hurt. Wondering what you guys think the prospect of this being repairable? Here's the details;

 

- back door crunched and won't open

- rear bumper crunched

- back lights broken

- panel where the gas cap is damaged a bit (bent and paint chipped)

- trunk pushed in a bit

- rear door seal not sealing because door is mangled and frame seems out of whack

 

That's about it. What do you think, fixable? What's a 2013 spark with 40k worth anyways?

First off usually in a 'rear ender' you are not at fault. Second your insurance co. will send an adjuster to evaluate whether to fix or write off. Book value is about $6,000-$7,000. A bent frame will be expensive for them so they may do a write off and they get the car and you get a check.

It all depends on how much it is going to cost to fix it.Either way of the other driver has insurance you are covered.

Doesn't look that bad, so definitely fixable. Now being that the value of the car is very low its tough to say whether or not they will total it. It will only take about $3,000-4,000 in damage to total it, which is really low.

All should be very glad no one got hurt. Back when I was 24 years old, I was rear ended inside a Corvair. My neck suffered a bad whiplash (in those days there was no head rest).
