Fuel light and gauge?

OK, so I decided this tank was the tank to try and sort some issues with the fuel gauge... Full has seemed to leave one wedge unlit and adding 5 gallons to a 1/4 tank is full. What I'm finding is this car is listed at 9.2 gallons. Ran down to where the fual light came on, put another 15 miles on it and the fuel light started blinking in panic (right as I pulled up to the pump) and I added 7.77 gallons. That means I still had almost 1.5 gallons in the tank which is way more than I really want when the light is blinking.

How does this compare to other people?

Kind of surprised more people aren't tracking this on Fuelly.com too.

I thought my low fuel light was faulty until just now. It came on 2 miles from the station and one bar on the gauge. The Spark took 7.9 gallons. So for me I think the light comes on at about 1.2 gallons left.

Yep, same as you Greg. Car flips out like its about to run out of gas, right about when my distance to empty is 30+ miles.

At least it's not like my Hyundai was when the low fuel light came on. Once it came on it was like "GET YOUR BUTT TO THE GAS STATION, NOW!!!" I ran out of gas in it once after 10 miles of the light popping on.

Thats how I would like my gas light indicator to be honest. Dont make me go fill up when I still have over a gallon of fuel left. Start blinking when there is under 10 miles left. The gas light comes on too for low gas.
