bobandsandi 0
Does anyone know when the body will be restyled? Or when the 3 cylinder turbo engine will be offered? That would be a great mileage combination.
Schaltz 27
The Opel Karl will go on sale in Europe in the middle of 2015, so maybe end of 2015/early 2016 a new Spark will be on sale in the US.
Retired old Gearhead 201
GM is rolling out 3 versions of Aluminum small engines including an all (except moving parts) Aluminum 1.0L 3cyl turbo available in the new Opel Adam and will make 90-115 HP. The 3 new all Aluminum engines range in size from 1.0 to 1.5L and, except for moving and wear parts etc, will be all Aluminum. The 3cyl Aluminum turbo is expected to replace the current 1.2L in the US marketed Chevy Spark. Interesting concept/technology as an all Aluminum gas engine will have to be cast with high grade Aluminum that is totally non-porous as even the smallest of air pockets in the castings can cause structural failure. GM will also roll out some Aluminum body trucks for the domestic market by 2018....Maybe I can finally see some returns on my Alcoa shares?
