Musicman27 4
Anyone remove their backseats yet? I just did mine and drove it the gas station, it's not even a quarter mile from my house. Acceleration was incredible. I'll report any gains tomorrow.
Schaltz 27
Yeah, but I would not say the difference is that big. Fitting 13" tyres is the easiest way to gain some 0-60 time :-)

Retired old Gearhead 201
Anyone remove their backseats yet? I just did mine and drove it the gas station, it's not even a quarter mile from my house. Acceleration was incredible. I'll report any gains tomorrow. Removing the rear seats not only makes the car much more noisy, but will not add much if any power as you perceived the additional sound as speed. Why on earth remove seats? If you want to reduce the weight, well, why not remove some body weight at the gym, that way you can carry passengers in comfortable seats.
jibb3r 29
I removed my seat bottoms, so the seat backs would fold flat. I'm 6'5", and they won't fold flat, with the front seats all the way back. It is much more noisy, and I don't carry passengers. Naturalysam
Naturalysam 0
Thanks jibb ive been wondering if my bf will even fit in the car, he's 6'6" and was not able to be comfortable in my old corolla. With the seats flipped down I have my seat pushed all the way back and I'm only 5'9". Don't plan on having the seats up much either.
