Rush 0
Just a heads up the JBL GT5-2402BR fits the trunk really well. Seats locked and hatch closed. I need to go buy an amp and my kicker stock replacements will be in today. Any opinions on mounting the amp and cap on top of the shelf by the back window? Or in tire area? manualsparkls 6
That looks amazing. I would try mounting the amp in the spare tire area.
powel01k 2
I would mount on top of the box by far the most secure spot and will allow for more airflow to help keep it cool during continued use.
Rush 0
I was in the process of wiring my high input and realize I used the connector in the kicker install thread. This has the negative and positives wrong! Am I correct? You can see in the picture. The wiring diagram I have has the striped wires as negative?? Tapping into rear speaker wire. jibb3r 29
Wow, you're not concerned about the heat in that enclosed area, for the amp?
Rush 0
I am going to try it like that. I am going to add a different one soon and will remove the tire kit and mock something up. It really doesn't hit as hard as I thought it would for a hatchback. It does make the rear view mirror point to the ceiling though lol.
mike 0
Im running a GT5-1204BR (only one sub)and it just fits and thumps like mad! It may be the amp What amp are you running? I mounted my amp on the back of the back seat
Schaltz 27
I have never understood why people think a cap is necessary. The only thing it does for this particular setup is stress the battery and amp.......
