Trancer07 30
What is the furthest you've ever driven your spark in one trip? I have yet to drive mine more than 100 miles in one trip. Me and my mom are thinking about about driving it to Niagra Falls next month...maybe.
Lazerface 24
400mi to north Arkansas. Spark did just fine, even in the hills.

Jopar_X 7
Pam Springs, CA -to- Draper, UT. Spark did great! Even up the insane climb after Baker
austex04 48
About 400 miles into west TX desert, and several 300 mile trips to Rio Grande valley. Haven't taken it out of state yet. I don't trust the crappy B temp grade tires, especially traveling 85mph across desert in 100+ temperature.
Greg_E 211
The only thing that should happen to the tires would be that you wear them out faster if they get over temp. That kind of solves two of your issues because you dislike the tires and they would be worn out so you need to replace them sooner.
greggb 7
3700 miles roundtrip from Tucson Az to Appleton Wisconsin. Averaged 41.2 mpg. Car ran like a charm. Edited April 20, 2014 by greggb
21783mike 17
2100 miles round trip from MD to Florida and back. Mileage took a hit doing 80 and with 2 passengers and about 150 lbs of luggage. Ended up averaging 39 mpg versus the 42+ I have been getting since it has warmed up here. greggb

bluer101 241
30 miles maybe, all in town. If go on trips we use the wife's vehicle.
austex04 48
2137 miles, with 2 cats roaming around in the car, during my cross country move. Found it was cheaper to have my stuff shipped in a moving pod instead of renting a gas guzzling truck and towing the Spark. greggb
Hobo1 8
Drove mine for a round trip of 512 miles. Took a break half way through. Heck of a drive without cruise control. Drove from Wisconsin to Indiana and back in one day.
greggb 7
Did another trip last weekend,,,, Tucson to Las Vegas and back. Trip total was 878 miles. Car ran great, A/C blew cold air. Gas mileage came out to 39.2 mpg for the trip. Will soon be hitting the 100 degree mark here in Tucson,,,hope the A/C doesn't take a puke on me than. I don't have central A/C in my house and so sometimes my car is the only place to "chill out" in for a bit. :-)
njresler 14
When I first got the car I took it on a 20hr round trip from indy to Texarkana. About 3k miles round trip. Car did great. Avg about 43 mil/gal
dustypenguin 0
Mid Wisconsin to Carmel California and driving all around the Bay area of CA and then back through Nevada. About 5500 miles. Ran great. Went up mountains, through deserts, kept up to traffic and more through the speedway of Wyoming. Averaged just around 40 mpg, even with all the fast freeway driving.

Nice trip and glad to hear that your Spark ran well. Did your A/C always work good for you too? And where from in central Wis? I used to live in Appleton before I moved to Tucson Az. Bobby MSME 100
Sorry guys, but I will not drive the little Spark more than 100 miles from home. It will be the Chevy HHR for longer trips. Edited April 4, 2017 by Bobby MSME make it shorter!

Brewsbee 0
I suspect my daughter and her boyfriend may have set a new one-way record: Astoria, Oregon to Jasper, Alabama. They had all their stuff crammed in the back for a school year teaching assignment at an environmental education camp. It's coming back -- I assume -- in June.

Cross country trips are much better in our Chevy HHR. We did 7000 miles in it from Florida to Wash state, then Sun City in AZ and back to Florida. Passed through majority of American states. The worst roads and rest stations were in Illinois.
Grogorilla 2
I went from Tucson to San Francisco and back, twice, with a dog, a few weeks after buying it new. About 900 miles each way, with scenic detours. I got an un-reparable flat on the way back, on the second trip. Otherwise, with the addition of a cushy seat pad, it was comfortable, a little loud but the carplay more than made up for it. Got about 37 per gallon but crossed some mountains and had temps well over 100. Overall, I really love this car and these road trips are a big reason why. This one... thismarks 65
I do several trips a year from New Hampshire to Panama City, Florida and then down to Orlando and all the way back. Never had an issue and car is very good on gas. I do change out my 17" wheels for my stock 15" wheels though to save on gas. My 2017 has 63k mi.
