70-yenko-nova 12 Posted June 20, 2013 Share Posted June 20, 2013 (edited) So our shifter is SO TALL ONLY to facilitate the fact we dont have a center console.. I grabbed down lower on the shaft (you like it) and was shifting like that and found out where it would be comfortable at. I HONESTLY was thinking of tryign to find way to take the shift knob off and just CUT it down and then weld in a nicep eice with shift knob to a height level I LIKED. IF i knew more about them or had time I would look into making a Dual Bend. but either way.. short throw might be in the works.HOW DO YOU GET THE SHIFT KNOB OFF! sparkss 0 Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Alot of GM vehicles have these stupid knobs on them, however there is some kind of stupid clip on the pottom that needs to come off the what you do it grip the knob with some channel lock pliers turn like hell to the left.
