zking67 1
Was curios about Factory fill YES I dumped it early but OLM was at 81% Mostly Hwy 80 /20 split I belive TBN is aprox 6.6 based upon AC delco 5w30 VOA. Engine uses timing chain so I didn't want it to be like the Traverse fiasco with the OLM getting recalibrated (service)OIL USE INTERVAL 2377KMFACTORY FILL 5w20 Oil was in use for 2 Months April 2nd- May 25th REMARKS (From Blackstone Laboratories) MICHAEL: It's normal to find higher metals and silicon in a brand new engine. Iron and copper are from steel and brass/bronze parts. They read higher than average here since they're from brand new parts wearing in and getting comfortable in your engine. Silicon is from the harmless sealers the factory uses to put the engine together. These materials should wash out with a few oil changes and we'll be able to compare your engine to universal averages, which are based on about 6,000 km. The TBN read 4.4, still agood reading. bluer101 241
I'm at 3100 from factory fill. I'm waiting till the oil life tells me as per owners manual.
Classing 6
I had my factory fill dumped at 2200 miles the same time I had the A/C looked at. Its always good to do the first couple of oil changes sooner than recommended because of the engine breaking in.
