  1. My 2013 Spark just broke 100k miles and for the second time I'm going to have to replace the coolant overflow reservoir for the second time because of a leak. I've been reading on the forums and this seems to be a pretty common issue people are experiencing. The first time I had it replaced was within the first 50k miles and it was not covered under my warranty. Shouldn't this be a recall of some sort? Or are we just expected to replace this park every 50k miles or so? Sure...the cost isn't major, but if it went unnoticed it could cause some serious engine damage.
  2. Although the stated airbag problem on my 2017 Spark does not affect current situation, I took the trouble to have the recall fix done, in case a future owner of my car has children riding in front seat. The dealer also took care of squeaky front passenger door by lubricating hinges on all 4 doors. Other than that, I have had no other issues with the car. The dealer also topped off all fluids, washed the car and vacuumed the floors. Absolutely love driving this car in town. The CVT is silky smooth and the car steering is very responsive and tight. There are less squeaks or groans o
  3. Hello Fellow Spark Owners! I just found out today that a recall was in effect by the NHTSA for the 2016-2017 chevrolet spark regarding the front passenger airbag deployment (Canada and US only). Source: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaId=17V307 The files attached to this post are taken from the above-mentioned website. NHTSA_Safety_Issues.pdf RCAK-17V307-2294.pdf RCMN-17V307-7791.pdf
  4. 1,919 2014-2015 Chevrolet Sparks imported from Korea that were assembled with a lower control arm bolt not fastened to specification. The condition could result in noise from the front suspension and separation of the lower control arm from the steering knuckle while driving resulting in loss of steering control. Dealers will inspect the left and right hand lower control arm attaching bolts to assure they are tightened to specification. GM knows of no crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this condition.
