  1. mine just did this and now it just stays on every time i get in my car. onstar app says my front driver tire is at -1 psi! lmao add it to the list of problems i have i guess. lol
  2. don't drive it in hurricane force winds! lol talk about getting blown around! hahahaha stayed on the road pretty good though. just was all over my lane. people probably thought i was drunk!
  3. I've been having the same loss of power and engine problems now that I'm in north dakota. just took it to the dealer and i had almost no oil and i just changed it 3 months ago and they say nothing is wrong with my engine…… they can't replicate what I'm saying it does so they don't do anything about it. seriously? so I'm taking it back to get oil since they couldn't get me in them and while I'm there ill ask them to check the spark plugs and valve cover. maybe do a compression test too. and if i have the problem after, I'm going to raise hell to get a new engine because I'm moving back to flori
  4. well I've been going by both, the readout and my own calculations. but i still have no idea how i got that 52mpg. hahha personal best is what i call it, but nothing is different about my car from completely stock. everything is original on it but i do run on mid grade gas. whenever i can find it i prefer non-ethanol mid grade. theres a few places near where i live that sell it, but it cost about 15-20 cents more then regular mid grade. now when it comes to the mpg I'm getting, the 52 has been by far the best I've ever gotten out of one tank and that was with A LOT of flat highway driving going
  5. I've been able to get 52mpg on the highway going 55mph. granted florida is pretty flat but I'm sure it would balance out anywhere. just as long as you're not in a hurry to get somewhere. lol i plan on taking my trip to north dakota strictly in the 55 to 60 mph range.
  6. I was just looking at those tires actually! Haha thanks for the advise has anyone had plasti-dip on their tires throughout the winter? Would that stuff survive or should I wait to do that to my car till it warms up in ND?
  7. very chic! that is pretty cool :D where do you get that stuff by the way?
  8. yea i was looking at reviews and stuff about the tires on it (goodyear integrity) and they seem to do pretty decent in snow, and i have a bit of tread left on these still so i think I'm just going to see how they handle for this winter and by next year ill need new ones anyways probably with how much i drive. lol found some really nice rims too on carID.com that I'm really wanting, but will 17" rims fit these cars? when i buy new tires I'm going to buy new rims too. do it all at once kinda thing.
  9. i use turtle wax ice interior spray. works on everything and my car is lint and dust free for weeks. oh and it doesn't leave an oily residue like amor all does, so your hands won't slip after u clean the steering wheel.
  10. thanks so much for the tips! I'm super excited to move up there but still terrified. lol and next oil change, which will be in january, ill change it to probably the 0w20. my dad told me last year in the dead of winter it got down to -14 a few days… the temperature i can get used to, I've been in snow before when he lived in minnesota but driving on it is something that is going to be new and quit frankly scares the hell out of me. hahhaahha heres someone that throws hurricane parties, stands out in the high winds and drives around in them but when it comes to snow is well….. yea. but right n
  11. lol well you're forgetting to take into account the drivers that have already wrecked their poor little sparks! haahhaha just kidding, I'm sure there aren't that many wrecked ones yet. but here in central florida I'm seeing like 7-8 now. its kinda funny too because most of us wave at each other as we drive by. we have never met though. hahaha its kinda funny because i already recognize 5 of them from just driving around town. its kinda like what motorcycle people do when they pass each other, an unspoken bond of fellow spark ownership!
  12. would be nice to have a sunroof though! I've thought of it a couple of times. buuuuuutttttttttt………. i really don't want to cause any problems down the road since it would be cutting into a good roof. even though we can all agree there is plenty of room for a sunroof in these cars. maybe a moonroof?? one with just a cover that closes but the window itself doesn't open… hmmmm
  13. yea i think i will try to avoid chains all together and just get some spare hardcore winter tires and rims. lol don't want to ruin my current rims anyways with all the salt they put on the roads. (which i read that they do that up there in Bismarck unfortunately) and for the trip up there i think I'm going to buy a spare little doughnut tire too. I'm not comfortable with driving that distance with just a "fix-a-flat" they provide. (cheap skates)
  14. oh and speaking of oil, I've been putting in the 5w20 that they say to put in but i put in full synthetic. will i need to change that oil to anything when I'm up there? I'm not really sure about what all the oil mumbo is with the w's and junk. lol
