I had the same problem back in December 2012. It was the first really cold day since purchasing my Spark in September. It wouldn't auto shift to 2nd gear. 4000RPM at 30MPH not good!. Occasionally I listen to the car shifting (auto transmission) and the sound is skippy sometimes, not smooth like other cars I've driven. Especially if I don't drive it for a few days. Like you, the solution for many strange glitches I've had (turn signal sound disappearing, wipers moving across the window really slowly, and a strange electronic whistle sound inside the car) turning the car off and back on alway

It seems like every day I go out and drive to work I see new fine scratches on the windshield under direct sunlight. Using the washer fluid to clean it doesn't help. It seems my Spark windshield scratches easily. I also have fine scratches caused by the wipers over the enire windshield. I still have the factory installed wipers, about 6500 miles, and owned the car for a little over a year. Anyone else have a problem with small scratches? Is this normal wear and tear for a windshield? Are the factory installed wipers really crappy?

In the U.S. East Asian language (Chinese, Korean Japanese, Thai, etc.) display is not available for Mylink. The characters show up as boxes. I discussed this in the Chevy instant message on their website, they confirmed it. Mylink should have installation options, similar to installing packs to display characters on a Windows computer. I refuse to re-enter all the music in my iPod using English letters. Any thoughts?

I had this problem in December 2012, three months after I bought my Spark. I pulled over and turned the car off and back on and it was fine. (That seems to be the solution for a few other weird things my Spark does) I called the dealer afterwards and they said they couldn't help because there wasn't a check engine light. I thought maybe something froze in the engine and it couldn't do its usual shift past first gear. I applied the right accelerator pressure for 35-40mph and hear the engine rev hard but it was stuck on 25mph.
