  1. Title pretty much says it all. Car jerks and misses once in a while at high speeds. My brother who is a good mechanic says fuel filter or catalytic converter is his best guess. I can change a fuel filter if possible. If not I'll start dumping Seafoam in the tank. Thanks for any ideas! - Joe
  2. I went out when it was about 4F degrees and tried to open my Spark. The door handle snapped off in my hand. The door wasn't frozen closed or anything. So I bought a new handle. They only come in black, so I bought the right paint, and clear coat to make it look right. My question is, it looks like I need to pull off the interior door panel. Does anyone know where the screws are hiding at to get me started? My spark was 600 miles over the warranty when it broke :( I'll also be going to Harbor Freight and picking up a set of trim removal tools to help with this project. Thanks for any
  3. I bought one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Directed-Xpresskit-Combo-DBALL-CHTHD2-T-Harness-w-Firmware-for-YOUR-vehicle-/290864627388?_trksid=p2054897.l5663 for my Dodge Grand Caravan and it was a 10 minute install. They make the same setup for a 2014 Chevy spark from what I can see here: http://www.xpresskit.com/VehicleCompatibility.aspx?p=undefined&year=2014&make=Chevrolet&model=Spark&ps=1&s=0&c=0 It's just a box and a wire and you plug it in. Then your factory remote starts your car. On my Dodge it was hit LOCK 3 times and it starts right up. I'd email the

I put one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Directed-Xpresskit-Combo-DBALL-CHTHD1-T-Harness-w-Firmware-YOUR-vehicle-/290773531165?pt=US_Car_Keys_Transponders&hash=item43b373fa1d on my 2013 Chevy Grand Caravan and it is awesome. 10 minute install and uses the factory remote. The guy programs them for your vehicle. I think he could do one for a Spark. I'm going to find out. - Joe
  5. Sorry to bring back an old post. If the MyLink is running Linux (and it probably is) you might try using / instead of \ in your paths.
  6. Well after 3-4 stalls in the dealership parking lot I drove it 20 miles or so through town to the house without stalling it. It's going to take me a while to get the hang of it for sure. The shifting is easy. I just need to get used to using one foot for gas and brake. I was a 2 footed driver when I had 2 pedals. I like the little car so far. I think I'm going to buy a real GPS. The MyLink using Android has a lot of bad reviews. - Joe
  7. I drove a manual about 20 years ago. I moved the GF's car a short distance was all. I do know how to drive a motorcycle which should help. I'm picking up my 1LT Manual Spark tomorrow and going to tell the dealer "So show me how to shift this turkey". We'll see how it goes. I can probably get by, I know how they work, it's an H thing and you need to be careful with the middle peddle right? This will be fun! I can see myself saying: "That's ok, I don't need a lesson, the tranny is under warranty right?". I'm getting older and like high MPG so I got a manual. I'm slightly crazy so th
