  1. When I had my 2013 Spark I had the air conditioner recalls done. The first dealer did the work improperly, and didn't replace all the necessary parts, and refused to do so stating it was unnecessary and everything was working as designed. I eventually went to a different dealer and they replaced everything, and did the job properly. The recall work did improve the air conditioning, but it still was not adequate for Summer time in California for me. My car eventually starting having the clicking from the passenger side, (sounded like the recirculate option was being activated/deactivated over a
  2. In my 2013 they unscrew using a pair of pliers. They are on tight but they will come off with a bit of force.
  3. I had mine pulled up on a flat bed too. I didn't pay much attention to what he was doing, but he pulled it up with the car facing forward, and seemed to just hook it under the front side. We just put the car in neutral (it's a manual) and it went up with no issues.
  4. I used several plastic pry bars to minimize any possible marring. If you're going to use a screw driver be sure to wrap it in electrical tape or something similar to reduce damage.
  5. I'm personally very happy with my Spark. I've had it about 18 months. I haven't had any major issues but I have done recalls, and regular maintenance (oil and tire rotation.) I think people have had legitimate frustration due less than helpful/competent dealerships. I was one of those frustrated people but switch to a different dealership and all has been good so far.
  6. Picked up my car today after getting the 14110 repair done. They replaced the valve and also checked the throttle body (which was clean). In addition they looked for any error codes (none were found). Car seems to be driving just fine after, just like before. I have only driven about 50 miles since getting it back. Everything went very smooth and all the work was done exactly as promised and finished on time. The new dealer I went to this time was much better than the previous and I will be doing any future work on my car. They were much more polite, professional and organized. The parts wer
  7. The parts for mine came in too, but they are very busy with recalls for many cars so my appointment is setup for 8/28, which is fine with me. They told me that they would need half a day to do all the required work, so it's not a quick fix. I am happy knowing the parts are in and it will be fixed in a week. I really hope this will fix/prevent the oil consumption issues we see on this board.
  8. I'm at my dealer right now and they are going to order the new pcv valve. I was also told that they would be checking/replacing spark plugs, and cleaning the throttle body. I have not had any oil consumption issues but I only have around 11,000 miles on my car and want to get it fixed before any problems start. They told me I was the first person to ask about this recall. *This is my first time at this dealer but they seem much better than the previous. Much more professional and organized. Hopefully the part comes in quickly and can fix the consumption issue many of you have had. I'll be su
  9. I did not have any previous repairs done on my car but I don't think it should matter. From my understanding this open recall 13434 should be done for all cars with a qualifying VIN, since it is a new fix. I contacted the Chevy reps on this forum and they called my dealer and told them my car needed this service done. The next day the dealer called me asking when I could bring in my car for the recall work. Having the reps contact my dealer helped me avoid having to explain or argue that it did not work correctly. It would be worth a shot to contact one of the Chevy reps and ask them to give y
  10. I also just got this service done and so far it seems to be keeping my car cooler. I also have to agree with manualsparkls and waltK that the air is more consistent/cold, and does not seem to cycle to warmer temps. I have only had the chance to drive for 25-30 minutes but during that time my car was keeping cool with air settings on 2, with recirculate on. It was 80+ degrees today and I felt comfortable. So far this service seems like a legit fix for the cooling problems I was facing, and I'm hoping it continues working. I'm interested to see how it performs in 100+ degree weather of Summer i
