Lovgun7 got a reaction from CShine in Tackled Brakes And Disc
Easy job all you need is
14mm socket for the caliper
19mm socket for the rotor
a Philips head screwdriver to release the discs.
and these (cheaper options out there but for the price why not.)
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Stop-OEK-Ceramic-Brake-Kits-for-Aveo-KOE5893-/382032351293?vxp=mtr
perfect step by step tutorial (chevy aveo no difference in steps from Chevy Spark)
my car needed a new set of tires and alignment which set me back a bit but thats fine since my original plan was to have the dealer do the job so comes out to about the same

Lovgun7 got a reaction from scoobyishere in Tried Some New Products
so due to the drought in LA its been a hassle to figure out when i could actually wash my car.
Some sites say "all you need is a shut off nozzle" others say "every other day" some say "only on Wednesdays" i dunno.
Been a mothers products user since i got my spark but i saw some stuff at Walmart the other day
$7.88 each
the wax i wont buy again but the wash wipes. Wow they're awesome cleaned all the crap and dirt of my car. Used about 6 wipes for the whole car "it was really dirty" but id say 4 wipes would do it next time. Nice smell too.
Wax didn't seem to work as well as the wash wipes.
but then my dad got out this stuff
this stuff is awesome and leaves the color popping as if i just rolled it off the assembly line. Love mothers but definitely sticking with this from not on.
Also bought these $7.88
these also work great for the Trim and wheels. Havent seen the trim look like new since i bought the car. Used 1 sponge for 3 cars. after a few days touched up the spark and used 1 sponge for all 4 tires, All trim platic on the car and even on the plastidip i have on the spoiler
last but not least .99cents
picked this up at the dollar store and again works great on my wheels after putting on a fresh coat of Plastidip and Glossifier.
next time ill be trying out this
there you have it. hope this helps anyone looking to keep their car clean

Lovgun7 got a reaction from VASparkLS in Has anyone installed rear speakers on the 2017 LS?
get outta here the new sparks dont come with rear speakers ??? or are you upgrading from factory rear speakers ?
UPDATE: christ just read up and NOPE no rear speakers on the 2016 and 2017 models... sucks...
it should be noted
he emailed GM and they said adding rear speakers would be a modification and if your car fails they'll have the right to prove the failure was due to the rear speaker addition LOL ! but anyway
some one else pointed out that if MYlink is now standard and the higher end models have the same mylink system it would just be a matter of removing the mylink unit and plugging in rear speakers. Now will chevy know you added speakers... nope the mechanic probably wont even look lol.
for the record i upgraded my speakers and added a sub to my 2013

Lovgun7 got a reaction from cobus in Plasti Dip Adventures
having all the left over cans i decided to dip the spoiler aswell...
1st coat
did about 6 coats and wheel touch ups with another full can.
finished products.
Low Light pic
the trunk didn't come out perfect but like my pop said "34 bucks and you painted your wheels and spoiler yourself. It looks good"
all in all at this point im satisfied with the Plasti dip. Having a small car i might actually dip the whole car at one point not sure yet.
I would definitely recommend it to all forum members
having 1 1/2 left im gonna dip the mirrors and the trunk lining today =D
feel free to ask questions.

Lovgun7 got a reaction from Mario Kart in Subwoofer Install
HAHA ! thats awesome... sucks you didn't have a Frys near you for the cheaper price.
i love that little sub and yeah its freaking powerful and compliments my kickers real well.
as far as remote switch ... i forgot to tell the guys to install one but no biggie my head unit has a cool sub feature where it can produce bass as if it where facing out like most or like our duals facing inwards aswell as an off mode which is cool
although the only thing i dont like about the sub is the obnoxious blue lights, i plan on buying green lights or atleast match the blue from the interior.
BTW what did wifey say when she saw the dual and space left ?

Lovgun7 got a reaction from frescowalden in Turtle Wax
I usto use turtle wax on all my cars up until my spark...
i first got into TW because of the ninja turtles movie when I was a kid lol
I switched to mothers products for my spark and it's worth the extra dough.
wash and wax made my jalapeño really shine without any other products.
The showtime is awesome for a quick touch up with dirt and bird crap.
The tire and wheel shine works perfect on my plasti dip glossified rims...
i plan on getting the spray wax soon

Lovgun7 got a reaction from lock87 in Plasti Dip Adventures
Alright so im gonna make this my mine page for plasti dips that i will update fairly often.
Saturday morning i decided to go get some plasti dip after watching plenty of youtube videos. Then i check here just to see if any new threads where up. I notice here someone had recently PD their wheels and it just gives me further confirmation.
i pick up 4 cans at Osh for $7.50 a piece.
I left the car to remove the 2 front tires.

http://s19.photobucket.com/user/thenuke1/media/IMG_20130615_161021_zpsc21bf259.jpg.html?sort=3&o=5
the 2nd picture is the jack on the drivers side and a nice 2x4 piece holding up the passengers side.
pull both front wheels off clean them off with a rag water and dry with microfiber then start dipping.
Decided to dip the rear wheels on the car and this is what a first coat looks like
next are the 3rd , 4th, and 5th coats
dip really does pop at the 5th coat. all in all i ended up using 1 1/2 cans for all 4 tires.

Lovgun7 got a reaction from bluer101 in Terrrrrrrrible speakers on Base model (US 2013 Spark)
id say most of us here on the board have the kicker front and back set up....
rears blew out on me once but i realized that was my fault... my tablet (connected via AUX) had the equalizer on full blast which blew out the passangers side... the replacements are holding strong
my guess its the exact same specs
thanks to bluer i know i went with the kickers
