  1. It's a pretty common bolt pattern (4x100). Measure the center bore of the wheels you currently have - as long as whatever spare tire you pick up has the same bolt pattern and a hub bore that is the same size or a bit bigger, you're good to go!
  2. JATCO has an extremely poor reputation. They made horrible transmissions in Nissans for years, then they started these glorified snowmobile transmissions in all of the nissan lineup. NOw they end up in other products as well!
  3. Is it a badge engineered Hyundai? Those body lines, the head lights ... those look like they are lifted from a small Hyundai.
  4. What is this toxic algae stuff keep hearing about that here too ... apparently one of our lakes has it. Isn't it just algae that forms on somewhat stagnant water?
  5. Fiat uses 4x98 (odd) and Ford uses 4x108mm. 4 cyl accords were 4x114.3 up until the 7th generation. Pretty much every other 4 lug car out there is 4x100. Never understood why some of these companies use oddball bolt patterns.
  6. Biggest boat I have ever driven was a Cadillac Brougham with an oldsmobile 307 engine. Was geared too tall and really underpowered. If you were going 60 and floored it, it would drop 2 gears, I would hear it sucking in a lot of air .... but it didn't go any faster. Nice riding car
  7. The spark is a city car, so it's geared pretty short for that. The 5 speed I drove was singing along at 75MPH.
  8. I'm not entirely convinced that iridium plugs are all they have cracked up to be. My car (not a spark) came with Iridium plugs. I noticed that on some hills I was having to shift it down a gear. It had 36000 miles on it. Just for fun, I decided to change the spark plugs. Instantly got the power back that the car had lost before ... really surprising. I have never been a huge fan of 100K mile plugs. Especially in engines with aluminum heads. Change early, change often.
  9. Dex is just a certification for the oil. It's nothing special for oil other than the manufacturer is paying GM licensing fees. Dexcool coolant, on the other hand, is pretty dangerous stuff. Eats gaskets.
  10. Wish they would do that locally - I'd be VERY tempted to buy a LS 5 speed.
  11. The oil based undercoatings are the only ones that help. Ziebart may protect visible areas, but they often block drains causing the car to rust from the inside out.
  12. The biggest farce with E10 gas? It takes MORE THAN A GALLON of fossil fuel to product a gallon of Ethanol ...
  13. VVT systems are designed for a very narrow range of oils. When Ford first did the 3V 5.4s, a lot of people with the trucks were having trouble because "It's a truck and needs heavy oil". Heavy oil will confuse the sensors.
