  1. My Wife complained about blind spots backing. So I removed the rear head rests. That seemed to help.
  2. I really like the mpg this little car gets.....
  3. FOUND IT!!!!! No thanks to the dealer... Defective rear seat latch. Put both rear seats down the other day for extra cargo space. Noticed the clunking sound was gone. Put them back in place and the sound was back. Took service manager for a ride both ways (seats down and back up). They made the fix. No other strange sounds to report at this time.
  4. Well the dealer can't seem to find it either. My next suggestion is to spray all the rear suspension parts with sylicone. This noise is only heard when cornering. Both right and left hand turns. Any ideas? P.S. I wish it was that 14mm socket!!
  5. I still have the clunking noise problem I posted awhile back. Seems to do it more often with a light fuel load. This thing is driving me crazy. I've check under the seats, seat bottom latches, seat back latches, in and under the rear cargo area everywhere. Dealer can't find it but they admit they can hear it. It doesn't do it when driving straight down the road no matter how rough it is. Only when making right or left hand turns. I plan on asking the dealer to spray all the rear suspension parts with silicone. Maybe that might get it. Any Ideas welcome. P.S. No 14mm socket found either.
  6. I had my first oil change last week. The dealer is using 5w-30 dexos in the spark. However, the climate in North Carolina is warmer.
  7. North Carolina state Senate votes to hike speed limit to 75mph on interstate. Everbody cheats a least another 5mph or more!! Wow..... Let the Sparks fly!!!!
  8. I think you may be on to something Greg. Went to dealer today. Mentioned possibility of spring mounts, shock mounts or maybe trailing arm bushings. The mechanics are scratching they're (you know whats) too!. They have it on the rack. We'll see whats next..
  9. For those of us who enjoy the milage the Spark delivers, I would agree with you. Have you seen some of the numbers the other guys say they can get? You could'nt get that kind of gas milage at idle on a set of jack-stands!!
  10. One thing you can count on.. The oil companys WILL NOT take a reduction in they're profit margins. Those of us who have purchased cars which get better gas milage will only enjoy the savings for a small amount of time. The gas prices will only increase to make up for any short-fall in profits.
  11. I resently drove our Spark on the interstate in winds that exceeded 40mph. Did it move around? Yes, but not nearly as bad as one would think. It was a real surprise that it handled so well. The Spark we have is an auto. I wish they would have went with a (5 speed) transmission. Other than that, we are very satisfied. The gas milage on the sticker said 37mpg. We are getting 38mpg. How many people can say that they get better milage than the mpg estimates.
  12. Thanks for the reply! Going over things again this weekend before returning to the dealer. Maybe I'll find something.
  13. I have a 2013 Lt1 spark. I've have a noise coming from the rear of the car. Can't seem to put my finger on it. I've looked under the rear looking for something that might be loose but can't find a thing. It seems to come from both sides of the rear of the car when cornering. Could it be the counter weight/latch for the rear seat belts? Are they located in the 'C' post? Any ideas?? thanks
