I am copying your Kicker Hideaway install you did.  I haven't done an audio install in 35 years!  But I have a 16 year old and this Spark is his first car.  I had a question for you on your MDF build.  I saw the pictures you posted and showed the underside with the wood strips attached.  Did you add anything (straps) wood bottom to the MDF?  Or did you let the kicker hideaway res on top of the original foam that houses the air compressor, etc.?

      Sorry for the late response. 

       

      I attched the hideaway to 2 pieces of carpeted wood. Those fit between the 2 attached to the bottom of the mdf wood. This allowed me to get the hideaway flush to the top. Once I liked the position I just pre drilled and screwed it together. 

       

      So the hideaway away is fully removable with the whole carpeted mdf board. Then that hideaway surrounding barely sits on the factory foam. 

       

      Inside the factory foam I also hid the wires and brain to the DVD headrest screen.
